The sub sandwiches here at American Hero ate absolutely, hands down the BEST! The size of the sub, packed, delicious ingredients and fast service are unbeatable. Love this place.

Reminds me of the childhood subs I grew up on back in Massachusetts.Giant subs are shareable.They cut the cold meat as you order the sandwich.Quick service and amazing sandwiches.Looking forward to trying other sandwiches. I tried Italian Hero ?

I would have to suggest that anyone leaving less than 5 stars give them another chance. Anyone can have a bad day.My experience is nothing but excellent. I’ve only had sandwiches off the grill, but no other sandwich shop compares. The staff is always friendly and efficient.I only have one complaint…….This is too far from Myrtle Beach so I don’t get to eat here as often as I would like.

First off. I never leave bad reviews. But this was absolutely terrible! We went in at 11am on Friday February 23rd. The three women up front were the worst! Didn’t listen to the orders correctly. They were all busy flirting with a tall male employee off the clock that was there ordering egg croissants. Talking very inappropriately about this males personal relationship with women. It was disgusting. Not only that. The woman who took the order didn’t even listen to my request with no cheese. I ordered a hungry man and asked for no cheese because I am very very allergic to dairy. Had I not noticed before I bit into the sandwich I would have ended up in the hospital. Not to mention when my husband opened the wrapper to his sandwich a light colored hair was in it! Absolutely disgusting! Then the woman who put toppings on the sandwich’s wouldn’t even look and my husband or I as we tried to tell her what we wanted on it. Again she was too busy flirting with the employee off the clock. Then the final thing was the woman who checked us out. She was so rude and short. They were all too busy discussing personal things way too loudly to actually give proper service. Then I proceeded to go inside after both the hair and cheese were noticed and they brushed it off that they just misheard. No it wasn’t misheard, it was ignored because they were too busy flirting with that employee. I requested the name and number of the owner and once again it got brushed off. I’d very much like to speak to the owner directly regarding this issue. I’ve worked in management and customer service for 10 years. I currently run a coffee shop about cultivating kindness and giving the best product to our guests. And unfortunately I did not experience anything like that from this sub shop. Once again, absolutely terrible. Please reach out if you are the owner and I will gladly give you more detail.

Upon entering the store we were not greeted at all. We had to get the attention of the 2 ladies in the back to order. They continued to flirt with the man that was ahead of us while ignoring my order request. Absolutely terrible service. Normally I would never review a place but I had to go out of my way for this one.

I've been eating there since 1998 and it is still the best subs I've ever had! They also do breakfast sandwiches and omelets but their home fries are to die for!!!
