Waitress recommended we get steak. It was great! Steak, sweet potato and onion rings with a side of grilled shrimp. Food was great but they had alot of candles burning which gave me an immediate headache. The waitress did blow one out near us, but they were burning all over the building. I would order the food to go if we decide to come back.

I usually enjoy Porter Jacks, but the entrée vegetable platter was a complete rip-off. $16 got me 5 zucchini slices, 3 asparagus spears, 3 tiny broccoli florets, and 4 carrots — barely a side dish, let alone an entrée. I had to add mushrooms for another $5, which only made it worse. To top it off, they served it on a small plate inside a larger one to make it look like more. Ridiculous.
When I brought it up, the server just said, “I don’t make the prices,” and clearly didn’t care. Then I noticed a sign that said all sales final — which is outrageous for a restaurant. If food isn’t prepared or portioned correctly, it should be fixed.
My last time here for sure.

Hello everyone, I had to share about Porter Jacks. When you first come in you are greeted and seated. All the staff are great, and there menu is awesome. From burgers to shrimp 🦐 and grits which I have had was so good. They also have a nice bar and deserts are very good. If you get a chance I recommend you stop in for lunch or dinner. So stop by and give them a try I bet you will come back again. Enjoy

This restaurant absolutely deserves five stars. From start to finish everything was excellent. The food was without comparison. From the appetizers to the meals we were so very pleasantly surprised at how great everything was. I can honestly say I don’t believe I’ve been in a restaurant where All of the food was consistently excellent. And the staff was polite and friendly and welcoming.Is to my dismay that I live in North Carolina, which means who knows when I’ll get to experience this again.

I have never before regretted living in North Carolina. My family was traveling home to NC from FL on vacation. We were looking for someplace close to I95 to stop and grab a quick meal. My wife found Porter Jacks Grill. From the start of our visit the crew was extremely kind, courteous and caring. Followed by manager Chlo who took our order. She was attentive , professional and fun. The appetizers knocked all our socks off. The dipping sauces were clearly homemade and amazing. Our meals were outstanding all around. Large delicious portions. I love food. I’ve eaten at many a restaurant. Hands down this was the best dining experience I’ve ever had. Hence the long review. I’m looking forward to traveling back that way. In the meantime I will cherish my leftovers.
Very disappointing. A variety of errors by the kitchen on our orders. 45 minutes to get soup and a sandwich with 2 people in the restaurant. Side orders never showing up. The food even when it did show was just average at best. This was my second visit and unfortunately looks like my last.

My husband got takeout after our daughter was born. I wasn’t very hungry for dinner but he did bring me back two pieces of cake- one strawberry & the other praline. Both were amazing! The icing was perfect too. I can’t wait to try other slices the next time I’m in Manning.

Such a great surprise, you'd never expect something that good to come out of a little strip mall. Service was on top, we had Carla and she was so nice, she gave us a sample for the Mac and cheese which isn't common is restaurant. Food was really good, I highly recommend the filet mignon. Atmosphere had to be my favorite thing about this place, feels like home and super cozy, definitely nice in the fall/winter. Anyways, this place is awesome in every way. I highly recommend stopping at Porter Jacks Grill.

This was my first time eating here. I'm obsessed. The food was just no words how wonderfully yummy. Crab cakes were divinty. The ranch dressing for my salad was out of this world. My asparagus was amazing. 10 out of 10. The restaurant just had amazing vibes. Our server, she was amazing too. Definitely coming again soon.🤗
