Don't even bother with this place! It was so cluttered and smelled awful. There were barely any baked goods and they didn't look appetizing. Never again.

Not only do I, my entire family, all my friends, neighbors, and known acquaintances support Ms. Gretchen bakery Bc she’s a small, private, and locally-business, but MOST IMPORTANTLY Bc she deserves our support as the quality of her products are hands down, second to NONE!!! Gretchen’s ABS Cakes and Cafe is the best around from taste to quality, to price and portions served; to my knowledge, Gretchen and her staff can’t be beat! Taste = A++ / Price = A++ /Presentation = A++ / Quality = A++ / Talent/Creativity/Capability = A++ / Variety = A++. What more is needed? If you’re in the Upstate, and in need of any type of bakery piece/dish, candy, etc (heck, they even have BBQ!!! in the spring and summer), go to Gretchen’s ABS Cakes and Cafe!!! Should any issue arise (which is very doubtful) sweet Ms. Gretchen and/or her kind staff of top-notch customer service, will make it right! They are the best, hands down, you will NOT be disappointed.

I want to say thank you sooooo much for an amazing cake for my husband’s birthday. I am in love with them. They were so sweet and helpful. Cake looks exactly like the photo from Pinterest. And it was as delish!!!! Moist tasted just like strawberries.

Ordered a cake for a company event a couple days before Thanksgiving. They were slammed but worked with me to get my cake done in time for my event! Cake was delicious and beautiful!! Would highly recommend!!

Lovely family owned bakery. They have great food, desserts and supplies and treat you like family!

Wonderful experience with ordering a cake. Heather was so friendly and made excellent suggestions. We were planning our event from out of town. Cake looked and tasted great! Delivered at time agreed. Would love to work with them again in the future.

What I ordered was the banana pudding cheesecake......when I got there to pick it up.....it was frozen....the cheesecake was cracked and looked nothing like the one pictured on line. She did give me a discount to take it and I did.....it was aweful.....guess because it was frozen and when it finally thawed enough to cut the banana were black in the middle of the cake.....totally un editable.....I will not go back there again

To begin with, they don't have a lot of cakes on sale to go. They mostly sell cookies. But a few weeks ago, I tried one of their slices. I think it had been sitting out for a few weeks. Not fresh at all. It was hard as brick with a greasy/oily after taste. Ugh.

They did a great job with my daughter’s winter ONEderland theme cake!

The absolute best bakery in the Upstate! tried many other bakeries since we moved to the area and they're amazing! I will be using them for all my future bakery needs!! Very kind staff as well!

If you haven’t been to Gretchen’s ABS cakes and cafe why not? I’m asking myself that, I finally had the pleasure of trying some of their cake a few weeks ago and wow!! Talk about good! I’m from Florida and had a favorite bakery we would use and these cakes taste like home! The icing has a hint of almond extract in it and is fabulous! Do yourself a favor and skip the local store bakery and come here. Heather was super helpful with my cake design and they had some amazing desserts and cookies already made up to purchase! I look forward to ordering all of my future cakes here!!

These cakes are ALWAYS beautiful and delicious!! The owners remember you and there is a lot more here than just sweets. Don't miss out on the lunch specials. We have bought countless birthday cakes and a wedding cake too. The cookies and brownies are ready for every holiday. It feels great to support a small local business!!
