I decided to go to LJS today, Good Friday! I remember this being a tradition in my family when I was a little girl. I decided to introduce my own children to it. It was their first time trying it and they fell in LOVE!! It is like a hidden abandoned treasure. The building is old, unattractive and outdated, so I can see why it may not attract the public enough for it to be booming like it used to in the 90s. However, the food was phenomenal and the service was better than most 5 star restaurants I've been to. Ms. Tracy, the Manager, catered to our every need in such a graceful way. My children got cute little pirate hats. We really enjoyed our visit and will continue to go often. I really wish the company would invest in revamping and marketing the brand because the newer generation doesn't know what it's missing out on.

Food quality is good but the dining area is dirty. Not a little disheveled down right dirty! The soft drink machine did not operate properly spitting soda , was not due to low level of product. Ordered the 2pc fish, shrimp meal with 2 sides for 13.99 then found out the drinks were not included in the meal ( additional $ 2.99) definitely will NOT return.

They seem to have changed business models lately, and my experience yesterday was so much better than others in recent years. The food was super fresh and hot. They used to skimp on the crispies, but not anymore. A 2-piece basket was very filling. Granted, the prices have increased, but it's worth it. They provide table service after you place your order at the counter. Unfortunately, they had very few guests. I hope people will help keep them in business and give them a second chance. I'm grateful we did. They need a location in Five Forks.

Food was good. Portions were lacking. 1 piece chicken about 6pieces popcorn shrimp slaw 2 hushpuppìes and alot of chips that I don't eat.

Stopped by drive through at 830 and was told we're not taking any orders, we received too many orders and don't have enough staff (seen 4 people working). Zero cars in drive through and 2 small families dining in. Went inside and ordered at the counter, they did not look happy at all. Shrimp bowl came in super greasy with barely any rice, got the wrong shrimp, battered vs grilled. Didn't get coleslaw. All the other food was delicious so props to the older gentleman in the kitchen and the guy handling drive through ( he was actually cooking and was recalled from his break to go cook). Very odd experience.

Awful customer service. Awful overfried food that you’d be told to park and wait forever to get. Never again. The place isn’t cheap. For what I paid to get dried up garbage, I could actually get something descent elsewhere. LJS - how disappointing. Is not just this location, either, though this is one of the worst. I’m taking all LJS off my rotation, and I used to love this food. 0 stars for everything.

This place is like stepping into a time machine and I love it. If you ever want to experience what it was like to live in 1989 this place encapsulated it perfectly. The grease the smell the colors the taste the style only thing it’s missing are the CRT tvs. Most people probably think this is sarcasm but it’s seriously not this place rocks so hard especially if you’re into nostalgia. The food is decent but it’s long John silvers so if you were somehow expecting something other than greasy fried fish then maybe you need to re evaluate yourself. The staff are top notch they aren’t rude they aren’t pushy they don’t seem stressed out and for the most part keep everything under control. This whole place is a just a vibe.

I know this LJS seems to not have much business at least Not like it do in the past. Food quality is down as far as I'm concerned! Not as good as they used to be! The restaurant inside & out needs an update!!! If y'all don't do better you'll loose the customers you have left!

The service was bad for me because they asked you to wait and then give you the wrong order. OK mis understanding, but the issue was I looked in the food as well as the car next to me and the attendant took it back switched the bags and gave us cold food touched by the other cars. They did not remake the orders and I mean the chicken was cold as if it was taken from a refrigerator. That's contamination and law suit waiting to happen. I use to enjoy this food from years ago but now the food and the service need a revamp or stop hiring ppl with no morals. It's sad the hike the prices give you less and not hot. Make it make sense ljs.
