I've tried to eat at this restaurant on 4 separate occasions over the past few months. They are NEVER open. I've tried on weekends, weekdays, right after 5, in the middle of dinner hours, everything. I heard good things about this place, but now if anyone asks me I automatically recommend another Italian place because there's no guarantee they're even going to be open. Even though the website has clear business hours listed.

I'm not sure why they even bother with this second, suburban, strip-mall location when it in no way meets the standard of the original downtown. The cavernous, industrial decor is the opposite of the cozy, intimate feel I want in an Italian restaurant. The salads were filled with lettuce that was VERY past fresh [rotten], the dressing tasted like that sugary Kraft Italian off the shelf, the silverware was smudged, and the water tasted off. It was justone thing after another, building to an unpalatable entree, and, ultimately, a thoroughly unsatisfying feeling of having to then pay the bill for food we didn't eat/enjoy.There is zero ambiance, no view, and - not surprisingly - no customers. We were there on a weekend night and were the only people in the place the entire time. The server was very sweet and seemed to do all she could (great wine suggestion), but good service isn't enough to make up for mediocre food. We will not be back.Note to Luna Rosa Downtown: This location is a liability to your reputation.

Excellent service. We dined on our anniversary and the food was as good as it gets. Nice atmosphere and good recommendation on the wine. They just do things right.

Was super excited to try this place but didn’t even have the chance to order. When we walked in we were seated immediately and it was seemingly not busy - maybe six tables. Water was also quick to arrive. After that…nothing. Another table who was seated after us who clearly knew the staff and was able to order and have drinks served quickly. I totally understand that they were short staffed. I saw only three people working and seemingly one was only allowed to serve water or run food but couldn’t take orders. All fine but we were repeatedly ignored. The waitress checked on the table right next to us to see how their food was but didn’t even offer a “I’ll be with you in a minute” or frankly look in our direction. The two wait staff also had to make all the drinks - again I can understand how this slows service. But they still made an effort to chat with the tables close to the bar, talking through cocktail ingredients and cracking jokes. So seemingly some tables were getting all the service while we couldn’t even get acknowledged. Maybe if I could’ve at least had a glass of wine I would’ve stayed longer but after 15 minutes of zero interaction we left.

My wife and I tried to go to dinner here but evidently you have to know someone who works at or owns the restaurant to get served food even when you’re their only customer. We were seated promptly which made sense because the restaurant only had one other party of 4 inside and another party of two outside when we arrived. Once we were seated, we were given menus and waters and then ignored completely. After twenty minutes of not getting asked to order drinks or appetizers we decided to cut our losses and leave (as did the couple on the deck outside). The waitress assigned to our table never talked to us but checked on other tables several times and chatted with a customer at the bar casually about cocktail ingredients while we were left to twiddle our thumbs. Based on the cost of the menu I expected to spend $80 - $100 on the check. No staff asked why or seemed to care that we were leaving. We went to another restaurant called Yard House and spent $90 and were treated with excellent service. I usually don’t go out of my way to leave a review unless I really like something but this was just a truly horrible customer experience I feel like other folks should know about.

I had the lasagna and the portion size was quite small, the red sauce "momma's gravy" was very watery and not very tasty. Wife had the Milano her portion size was nice but again no real flavor. Was going to try the gelato but there was only 4 flavors to choose from and we didn't want any of them. Found it best just to leave disappointed.

Tomato bisque and zucchini fries got rave reviews from my dining friend. My pizza was as close to the ones I had in Rome as any I've had since. Delicious, thin crust, fresh toppings. Perfect. Live music made the experience even better!

It was our 2nd time visiting the mauldin location. We decided to try the pizza this time around. The dough tasted as if it was bought frozen from a grocery store paper thin crust. Flavors were good but they definitely need to consider a thicker better quality crust.

It was a quaint little restaurant, with a guitarist, singing. I rather enjoyed that. The white tablecloth and fresh carnation were a special touch. The food was delicious.

We just ate here on a Saturday night. It was not crowded at all. The guy that sat us could not have been nicer. The food was really good but expensive for what we got. We must have made our server mad because she was not attentive to us at all. We will probably not go back

We loved Luna Rosa! They had a quiet acoustic guitar player set up (Friday night) who was very pleasant and matched the ambiance of the restaurant. Our food was very good and their drink menu was outstanding! My husband had two delicious cocktails. We will make this a regular date night spot.

Luna Rosa is a must try! Wasn't sure what to expect from the little restaurant but walked in and it had more space than I assumed. The food was so freaking good! Stuffed mushrooms were on point. And my entree was delicious as well :)

The food service was good, brought out in a timely manner. The salad was very good. The servicing size was more than adequate. We would have liked a more flavor in the entrees we had. The atmosphere and subdued lighting was appreciated. We will visit again.

The food here is AMAZING! I had The Milano, and it was not heavy like you often find with a cream based sauce. The bread was fresh and hot. And the Gelato was OMG delish! I haven't had Gelato this good in years. We eat out all the time, and this is the best meal we've had in forever. My new favorite place for Italian!
