Food was good - solid 7.8/10

Service was slow, due to 1 waiter and maybe 1 or 2 kitchen staff. From sit down at table to receiving food took about 45/50 minutes for two people.

I've been wanting to come here for a while and it was kind of a bummer. I'll try another location instead of this one for now.

Biscuits for breakfast were delicious. I'd recommend the biscuit cinnamon roll.

The customer service here is absolute perfection! The ower should take pride in the atmosphere in this place.
The least successful thing about my meal was the biscuit. That would normally be super problematic for a biscuit place, but everything else was so good that I still had a great experience. We had The Nash, grits, and home fries. My kids got sausage and cheese biscuits and enjoyed them. My Nashville chicken was great, the home fries were cooked perfectly, and the jalapeño grits were among the best I've ever had in my life. The jelly bar had some good options and I enjoyed trying different flavors. Overall, I highly recommend this place and trying options that don't involve biscuits. Don't forget the grits!

First & Last time here! This restaurant is like a hair in a biscuit hanging on for dear life. The food was COLD and was sent back and I believe it was somebody else’s food that was also sent back because the plate was greasy. The staff was elementary level at best. I felt bad for the girl she did a drive by with our change that was also another tables change. You can’t make this stuff up. Zero Stars if I could and I’m not even a picky person.

I have to give food a 1 star. The food used to be so good. I raved to my family about this place. I took my husband for his birthday today. When we got our food, it was beyond disappointment. The gravy was so watered down, we could hardly see it on the plate. My omelet was undercooked, my stomach was so upset after eating there, and my husband too. I actually got sick after eating it. It was good before they made it fancy dining. I don't know if they got a new cook or what. But I don't even want to go back after that experience.

Maverick Biscuit sources out for local ingredients from their ham, bologna, grits and so much more. I love that when I eat here I eat locally and also get to eat what was locally grown. This place is a definite go to if you’re ever in the area. It may look like a hole in the wall, but the food experience is amazing. I always say that the hole in the wall restaurants offer some of the best tasting food you’ll ever experience.

Parking: Parking is available and not hard to find.

Love this place, been telling everyone about it also but I bought the shrimp & grits today and it was sooooo salty I couldn’t taste anything else… was looking forward to it also. Bummer. I know everyone has an off day, so I will try again but keeping my three strikes rule.

They are very obviously understaffed, which I understand, but I did have a waitress tell me I couldn't have orange juice because they didn't have oranges, and there were two (full) boxes of oranges on the counter. Our waiter also forgot to put in two of the four items we ordered. I just wish they would admit when they make an honest mistake but they tried to cover it up instead, which I don't have patience for.

Fairly good breakfast food, but not quite as good as I would like.
The biggest problem is that as a biscuit place, you would expect them to have great biscuits. The consistency is just not right, leaving it less than perfect.
They have a good collection of jams and butters, but seem to have missed some basic options that would round them out a little better.

Our waitress did not refill our coffee, forgot our waters, forgot our cream, condiments and didn't seem to care or desire to improve. Normally, I'm very forgiving. In this situation, it was not terribly busy and our waitress did not seem stressed. She was a) either not trained well which is a management issue or b) has no business being in the service industry. Other than that, the Juevos Rancheros was delicious. For gluten free biscuits though, biscuit head in Greenville is miles ahead of this place on taste.

I ordered the chicken and Waffles, and it was very good, I only wished they would have given more syrup, and I'm sure it won't be a problem to request more syrup, other than that I think it's a pretty good place to eat.

The atmosphere was amazing m, however the food and service not so much. The food didn’t have ANY flavor and was lukewarm at best. We ordered 3 orange juices 1 being for my 2 year old well we the adults received the SAME cup my toddler did and then was told that was the only size. But it wasn’t because a lady at a table across from me got a bigger size. Anywho the waitress was not attentive or friendly. So yeah we won’t be back.

Came in on a Sunday around noon. We only had to wait, maybe 5 minutes. The service could have been way better. Just about every table around us had a problem with their food or service. The table right behind us left before their food came out. Other tables were sending their food back. Everything we got was very good. I thought the jam/butter bar was jammed up yummy. I wasn't really impressed with this location but love the Taylors location.

Our group of four really enjoyed this place. It is always fun to have a special meal out at a restaurant that takes their food seriously and is unique. The menu and decor were interesting. Food was delicious. It is a little pricey for us. The server was very friendly and helpful.
