Wish I could leave a zero star review. Went with my husband and adult children for brunch. My husband and I both ordered home fries, they originally brought one side of home fries and I asked my husband if he wanted that side (as you do if you both ordered the same thing) the waitress chimed in with a raised voice “I ONLY HAVE TWO HANDS” I clarified that I was just making sure he didn’t want that plate yet. The waitress continued having an attitude the rest of the brunch yelling at one point “ADD ANOTHER KAREN TO THE LIST” while walking right behind our table. She eventually came back to bring the other sides and I asked for a manager she replied that she was the manager. SAD that the manager herself acted that way. We have been here several times with no issues but, we will not be back.

Just recently moved to Mauldin and we were so excited to try this place. Got there around 8am and we were the only ones there which usually isn’t the best sign. To start the drinks were very clearly watered down. Food came out relatively quick but that was one of the only positives. We are big Nashville hot chicken people and have tried places all over the country, the Nashville hot chicken here was more like Thai sweet chili. The biscuits were a HUGE letdown. They were rock hard like they had been microwaved and my wife’s wasn’t even warm. The frenchi was nothing to write home about. It tasted like it was fried in old oil. All in all we were very disappointed with the food.

We went to Maverick on a Saturday at 8 AM. We were the only people there until another couple came in a little later. We came in with high expectations after looking online at the pictures and the menu. We ordered “The Nash” and were seriously disappointed, the “Nashville“ sauce was more like a very mild sweet chili sauce, but oily. It felt like to compensate for the fact that it lacked so much flavor they drowned the dish in candied jalapeños. Most disappointing part though was the biscuits themselves, ALL of them were clearly microwaved, if you’re familiar with a microwaved gluten food it gets very hard and dry. Despite this, my dish was served to me room temperature. Small note, the apple juice and the lemonade were also clearly water watered down. As for the atmosphere, It was lacking life and it had poor lighting for a morning breakfast place. As for the service, our waiter was pleasant.

What an excellent breakfast we had this morning. Our server was on point and did a great job. Some of the best pancakes we've had. Fluffy and great. Definitely give this restaurant a try. We'll definitely be back.

Biscuits were very dry and the food tasted old even though there were zero customers there at the time.

Bad service. Weird vibes inside. both home fries and biscuits were cold. Chicken tasted like freezer burn.

Bacon was incredible. Biscuit is good, but doesn't hold up for a sandwich. Thought the fried Bologna was a let down.

Came all the way from NC to eat here because I heard good things about this place. Our waiter, Josh, should have a raise for how well he treated us. I never noticed my drinks getting low, treated our child like one of his own, and made us feel like family. The Manager Lisa, amazing leader, she was all over the place making sure everyone in the restaurant was having a good time and that their meals were perfect. The food, I ordered the Meat lovers bowl but had to remove carbs due to my diet and the chef Jose had no issue with meeting my needs and cooked our food to perfection. Wife and kid also loved their food. If you're coming here, tip them well, they deserved it and if I could, I would tip way more

First time visiting. Came at lunch and had the pimiento chicken sandwich. Loved the homefries and poblano sauce as well. Food and service were excellent. Enjoyed it and will be adding it to my rotation.

Update: breakfast review

Got the huevos rancheros, cause again, the poblano sauce….stupid good! Really enjoyed!

Beyond disappointed with our experience today. Had reservations for 6 at 11:30 a d when we get there the hostess says the manager didn’t give them access to Open Table so they had no idea. I showed her my reservation in open table (which they then canceled online so I can’t go back to show it but still have the confirmation text). I was told it would be about 20 min then would be a while for food. Well they weren’t kidding. No management of tables, we had to flag down a server after sitting for 10/15 min. Said they didn’t have enough clean glasses so served us in plastics. No big deal but then took over 10 for regular drinks and over 30 min for mimosas, and then over an hour for awful, cold food. No apology or discount, just handed us a check for one of the worst possible Mother’s Day and birthday brunches. Will never return.
