I actually live in Asheville and had Nana’s for the first time last week. I love good food, so I ordered two plates….and yes they were for me lol. Anyways, while y’all say mmm she is greedy, she must be a big back…. Mind your business and let’s get into the plates. So I had meatloaf, Mac n cheese and green beans with corn bread…. And I’m glad my windows are tinted so folks didn’t see me licking my fingers and humming to myself when I ate that food. The meatloaf is A1, had the ketchup on there and everything! The mac n cheese was cheesin!!! And the green beans were good also. Now that dang cornbread was slap ya mamma good, like I should have got cornbread on both, but I digress. Now the second plate…. And yes I pinched off the second plate while eating the first. If you have had the food you know why. The second plate was fried fish, whiting, with slaw and potato salad. The potato salad….. who made the potato salad….. somebody with the big arm that’s who!! It was on point, cole slaw was cool, and that fish!!!!! I had one or two bones, but that ain’t them peoples fault, sometimes you catch a stray. That fish was seasoned and fried toPerfection! It wasn’t a lil anorexic piece either, two nice size fillets. If y’all read this far go on down there and visit them people!!! It’s Monday…. And I’m patiently waiting on Tuesday so I can drive down this good lil mountain to restaurant depot and get two more plates from nanas! Yes…. Two, I eat one for dinner, get out of my business.

So disappointed! Previously had their Whitting fish a few times and the food was always fresh. Not today! The fish was not fresh and apparently was just refried! Same thing with the okra! They were both old and simply refried and reheated. Even the cornbread was old. So disappointed! The only thing that tasted good was the Maccorni and cheese. Spent almost near $20 for food I can’t even eat!! Called and spoke with the manager who told me I was lying and insisted they cook everything fresh to order! She was lying, rude and unprofessional!! I know food because I also cook myself!! They don’t have to worry about me, or my family again!!

Usually I don’t do this writing a review thing but I had to. I arrived about 10 minutes before they opened so I sat in my car. The guy(I think owner) was outside chilling. He walked up to my car and let me know that they don’t open up until 11 and asked what I was trying to get. I told him a pork chop sandwich. He politely said ok baby and went inside. About 10 minutes later he comes out with my bag in hand. It was so funny when he said open it up and check it out to see if you like it! Let me tell you, that thang was seasoned, crispy, and fresh. Really clean about everything they put you lettuce and tomatoes on the side in a separate sealed container. 10/10. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love supporting small businesses. Nice to have a good "home cooked" meal. Feels like Grandma made it :)The fried chicken, Mac & cheese, fried okra are all my favorites.I also like the grits and salmon for breakfast.Definitely worth a try if you haven't been yet.

Excellent place for food, especially takeout.Stopped by on my way home to Columbia on a whim after a YELP search.Got the jumbo wings, cabbage, Cole slaw, & cornbread. Man I wasn't disappointed! The wings took 15 minutes and were huge. The cabbage was good and the slaw sweet. The cornbread was a great way to wrap up my meal. One thing I did like was the wings were cooked to order so they were HOT and fresh. There's more on the menu and they do breakfast so... next trip to the Greenville area I'm coming back!Glad I took that exit...

Fried okra was amazing. The chicken was the best. Everything was good except the potato salad for my taste

I’m really confused. So many good ratings had me thinking I was ordering the kind of food that makes you wiggle in your seat when you take a bite. I received food that was blander than hospital food. No seasoning on the pork chop, nothing on the cabbage, the Mac & cheese was very bland, the baked beans…yuk. I ordered the fries green tomatoes but I’m not interested in trying them after such a disappointing meal. I was very hungry, but elected to not finish that bland food. Just not worth it.I gotta call this soulless food. Almost like it was made with disdain.
