Arrived at 6:15 with two other people seated waiting on their order. There were three people working on sandwiches nonchalantly. It took until 6:24 until someone came to the register to put in my order. There was another group of 5 that came in after me. Another guy went behind the counter to help out. Group of 5 that came in after got their sandwiches before we did and did not leave until 6:50 with a to go order. Worst service I’ve experienced at a Sully’s and disappointing

Waited over 30 minutes to get our food when the places wasn’t busy at all! Staff was to busy talking to each other and one of there girlfriend was there he was talking to her instead of working. The drink machine was completely out of carbonation and there was no tea. Will not be back!

I have noticed the atmosphere at Sully’s dropping in quality but this last visit definitely turned that around. I met Camilo and Elyse and they were very friendly and got my sandwich out pretty fast. Overall it was just a better experience than I was used to and I’m glad to see this location improving.

Sully Steamers in Mauldin is awesome! The food is fantastic and fun. The staff is so kind, considerate, and extremely hardworking. I’m frankly shocked to hear any bad reviews because this location and team are professional and top notch. As a customer, if you have a bad experience, sometimes, you just might be the problem. Food service is a difficult job. Check your own entitlement, attitude and behavior. It costs nothing to be kind to others and please stop to consider that maybe the issue is with you. Keep showing your excellence and keep shining bright, Mauldin Team! We see you and we thank you for the most creative and enjoyable sandwiches.

I'm writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the afternoon shift. Every time I come in, it's the same story – employees glued to their phones, no one actually working. I even saw one young guy sitting on the countertop playing games the other day! It's like the whole crew is just completely checked out. Something needs to change ASAP.

Please save your time and money and avoid this Sully’s Steamers location. I’ve visited every Sully’s in the Upstate, and this one has by far the worst staff I’ve encountered. My boyfriend and I used to come in frequently during the evening for dinner, but we’ve consistently had negative experiences—especially with the girl who usually handles the register. This most recent visit was the final straw. I want to emphasize that the morning crew is fantastic and consistently provides excellent customer service. This feedback is specifically about a few of the evening employees. We came in to purchase a dozen gluten-free bagels. Ivory, the regular evening cashier, greeted us with her usual attitude. When we asked for a dozen gluten-free bagels, she initially rang up only a half dozen. We politely corrected her, but she didn't change it and still only grabbed six bagels. After repeating ourselves again, she asked once more what we wanted. At this point, the incompetence was frustrating. During checkout, she struggled to ring up the gluten-free bagels, asking multiple coworkers and spending several minutes trying to figure it out. It made us question whether she had been properly trained or simply didn’t care about her job or the customers. After finally completing the transaction, I checked the bag in the car and noticed the label said, “Contains Wheat.” I understand gluten-free items may have cross-contamination, but this label clearly stated wheat was present. Concerned, we returned to the store within minutes to ask for clarification. Again, we were met with attitude and were told, “That’s just what they use.” I understand the staff doesn’t make the bagels and can’t control the ingredients, which is why I simply asked for a refund. Ivory agreed to process it. While this was happening, another employee—Jalen (or Jayla?)—was sitting on what appeared to be a prep or storage table, on her phone, in full view of the dining area. She rolled her eyes at us and mumbled under her breath. My boyfriend called out her nasty attitude and Ivory responded with, “Don’t come in here with all that,” which is ironic given how we were treated from the moment we walked in, and every other time we've come in here. Not to mention the unsanitary and unprofessional behavior of sitting on the food counter on your phone in front of the entire restaurant. Not only was the attitude unacceptable, but the unsanitary and unprofessional behavior of sitting on a food prep surface and scrolling on your phone in front of customers was disturbing. As we finished the refund and walked away, we could still hear negative comments being made behind our backs. This evening staff at this location has consistently demonstrated unprofessionalism, poor training, and a lack of basic customer service. Ivory and Jalen need serious training—or at the very least, to learn how to treat people with respect. If you can’t handle a customer-facing role professionally, it might be time to consider a different job.

I get the same sandwich every time that I come here or get food delivered from here. I ordered a veggie sandwich with avocado, cucumber, hummus, bell pepper, tomato, lettuce, and pickles from delivery service and I got no avocado and no cucumber plus there was some spicy flavor that I’ve never had before. I don’t know if it was some spicy sauce or jalapeño juice or what, but it’s never spicy. My boyfriend ordered regular voodoo chips and got the voodoo heat ones instead which he doesn’t like. I work in food service and dont ever complain, but i consistently don’t get avocado when I order it and this time it was more than just that wrong with my order.

First time there. They just steam bagels, don’t even make them there. Also, don’t spend ur money on the lox bagel. The heat from the bagel cooks the lox. It was absolutely disgusting (got 3 of those! 🤦🏻♀️) Not sure how the other would be just note the bagel is steaming hot almost like boiled. Spent $52 and would not return.

This was by far the worst carry out bagel sandwich of my life. Like so bad it was kind of funny… Imagine taking a nice hot bagel sandwich, wrapping it in aluminum foil then dunking it in a puddle of water a few times… that’s the texture when you open it up. 😂 This unbelievable sog factor and horrible watery liquid that just dumps out… 🥴 I can’t even believe it! I was really hungry and it just made my stomach churn.
The pictures on the website looked really good but the reality is not remotely close.
Now I get to receive some patronizing canned response about how my taste buds aren’t refined enough to like their uniquely bad steamed sandwich style. 🤝
We’ve been at this location several times on the weekends and the register person, Craig is so helpful. He maintains such a positive vibe with the customers and the other employees. We get the gluten free Grizwald and it is delicious. We highly recommend this place!!!
