Shrimp and grits, YES!! Hubby had burger, cooked properly!! Service was also good as was the wine.

As usual I ordered two take out dishes for my mom and myself. The first person that answered the phone hung up on me. The second person Megan was pleasant and took my order. Everything went smooth except that for the past 3-4 years the online menu is always outdated. The food quality is okay, nothing to rant about. The last few times I had ordered a pasta dish and each time it tasted differently. So, consistency seems to be somewhat of an issue. I have seen slight improvements with the menu over the past year. Hopefully, things will go back to the quality that existed prior to the Covid days.

We are not members of the community, but I am glad we are not . If the attitude of the community is anything like the service and respect of the restaurant. We saw firsthand how the members are treated and that we came to enjoy a meal that ended being one of the worst experiences of a lifetime. The so called hostess., and our waitresses had no respect for the treatment of us. Our order was taken and when we finally got our meals after many others ordered and received their meals after we had placed our orders ahead of them. We ordered drinks but not once did we receive a check on us to see if we needed anything. My friends that were with us were simply in astonishment of the service. The waitress was talking to , I guess a friend or maybe a member and just simply ignored us for at least a 20 minute conversation between the two of them. We had to raise our voice and actually tap on the table to get her attention for our checks and even then she kept on talking and came and just more or less threw the checks on the table. Not once was how was everything or please come back. (Which I never will.)

We are a semi-retired couple and never thought we would experience what we experienced tonight. We are building a house off Holiday drive. Many of our neighbors are in SLV. We decided after work tonight to go to the River Grille for dinner. Our attire was similar to most of the other patrons. Upon entering and approaching the host he informed us that he would be seating us in the pub. The main dining room was 1/4-1/3 full and there were plenty of empty tables. We assumed that we were being seated in a pub with other customers. No, that was not the case. We were seated in an empty pub clearly closed for business and no other customers were seated after us. We even asked the waiter if it was because we weren’t SLV members and he played it off. We were made to feel like we weren’t good enough to be there or to be seated with the other guest. This is the exact reason we chose to build nearby rather than live in SLV. This was my first time at The River Grille, the food was excellent however we will not go back. There are too many good restaurants nearby in Augusta and Greenwood that will not discriminate and will seat us in the dining room and not put us in the back room as though we are 2nd class citizens.
Upscale restaurant on golf course over looking the river! Food and service were great! We had the crab stuffed shrimp, the ribeye and the burger! It was all very delicious ?

Food was good but the kitchen poured blue cheese dressing over EVERY wedge salad. Lots of people complained and asked for other dressings. Other than the salad, the meat was cooked perfectly! Dessert was AWESOME...PEACH COBBLER!

River Grill was an oasis in a part of South Carolina where it's a challenge to find any semblance of healthy food. Stopped in for lunch and it was not busy at noon on a Saturday. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Thought the Chef Salad was delicious!

Emailed our reservation; asked for a confirmation. Got none. Told them it was our anniversary and requested a table near the windows, we were seated near the front door not near the windows. No specials. Today’s soup was tomato (which was always good in 5th grade). Entree was undercooked. This is why the place was empty. Sad.
