2nd time here. First time was not a really good experience. We wrote it off to us going late. We arrived at 7:15 and they close at 8. So, we decided to try it again. We arrived around 5. The food on the buffet was exactly the same as the first time there. The food had obviously been on the buffet for quite some time. Most of it was luke warm at best and dried out. The food was very good, server was good, just didn't like the appearance of some of the buffet food. Some things looked dried out or had been sitting for awhile but overall a good, reasonable price place to eat. I would go again.
This is some real down home cooking! It is increasingly difficult to find true Southern cooking these days. This place has it down! Buffet style food with different specials based on the day of week. Friday is chicken night, so in addition to pork BBQ, they had broiled and fried chicken. Veggies were particularly good: collards, mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy, soup beans, Mac-n-cheese, sweet potatoes. For dessert they had excellent bread pudding, Oreo pudding & just-right...
