Konnichiwa steak, sushi &bento

We used to enjoy this restaurant and their excellent customer service. However tonight we ordered 3 Bento boxes and a sushi roll for a family of 4. We used the online service through their website, Door Dash. That is what they use for their online orders, but we picked up our own food. Once we got home, my daughter realized her sushi order did not have all the ingredients, but she could still eat it and be ok. The sushi in the Bento boxes however contained rotten avocado. It was so brown it was almost black. My husband carried those back since none of us wanted to get sick. Konnichiwa employees saw that none of the food was eaten and that the avocado was rotten. They refused to refund our order and said that since we used Door Dash, the online platform they use, they would do nothing. They didn’t even apologize. We have never taken food back and would have been happy with fair customer service. Will never return here and am so glad another restaurant offering this type of food with better customer service has opened in Duncan.

Ate this place 2 nights in a row it was very tasty sushi. The first night I ate a California roll and the California roll with the crab salad on top not sure which one that is. Got very sick feeling the whole night. I ordered the same thing again the day after because the sushi tasted very yummy, but I got very sick once again !! I didn’t know if I was just getting sick but after getting it the second night in row and feeling the exact same way. I 100% know something was up with the sushi and had to of NOT been prepared correctly.

It’s my Mom’s 75th birthday and Gusti was our server. He really made sure my Mom enjoyed herself to the fullest. I can’t thank him enough.

Food is always good here. Service is friendly, place is a bit small and parking can be a pain, but it is usually worth it. Best sushi in Spartanburg!

My 4 year old was violently ill with salmonella after eating a California Roll here on Thursday, August 1st. He became sick about 4 hours after eating here and has been miserable ever since. Took him to the doctor and he tested positive. We used to love this place, but will never eat here again.
