What a wonderful tiny cafe off the beaten path! We were driving the South Carolina back roads one beautiful Sunday and stumbled upon this gem. If you blink you will miss it. Just off the side of the road is more seating on the deck than inside. The cutest space where when you order it is radioed out to the grill tender. We ate bbq and half a chicken. Good luck to this small town cafe!

Delicious food and wonderful staff. Location was adorable with seating on a closed in porch. Food came out fast. We ate half of the fried cheese curds before I remembered to take a photo. Husbands philly cheese steak devoured in no time..

The wife and I rode down from the upstate on our motorcycle along with another couple close to 50 miles to eat dinner and fellowship. I picked Mount Carmel Cafe none of us had eaten there so I was kinda nervous because more times than not you ride all these miles to show somebody a restaurant only to be highly disappointed. This was not the case the staff at Mount Carmel Cafe was outstanding! The food was awesome the atmosphere was a 10/10 for a small town restaurant or Cafe the cheese curds are great must have but my hat's off and I highly recommend this Cafe 10 out of 10

My sister and I went to go to the bakery and Abbeville and then went to go to Theo‘s and they were closed so she’s like I got a perfect place for your birthday. You love crabcakes and she looked and saw that y’all had a special on that day And so she took me there and I was so impressed with it being in the middle of nowhere me being from pretty much a city most of my life I enjoyed it so much. I highly recommend anybody to GPS and go there and eat you can’t beat their prices. The atmosphere is wonderful. The people are just friendly And we’re southern. We just southern and it’s a great southern restaurant.

Just finished a VERY GOOD lunch at Chef Rays Mt. Carmel Cafe! large portion of fried catfish, done to perfection, golden brown, crunchy Delicious of corse his fries are good to pipping hot. My wife had a great cheeseburger and fries. YUM- home now and its rainy afternoon nap time. Bye Y’all.

This little cafe in the middle of nowhere has excellent food. We’ve enjoyed it 3 times now and have not been disappointed. We’ve had their bbq chicken, ribeye steak, blackened grouper and fried shrimp. All have been excellent. Seasoned and cooked to perfection . While the resturant appearance is lacking, they make up for in quality and quantity. The resturant is clean, air conditioned, and the staff very friendly with great service. Many restaurants can look great but the food is sub-par, it’s evident that this little gem focuses more on the food. I highly recommend a trip to this out of way unknown resturant. 5 stars for food,

The waitress was super nice and gave really good service, and the sweet tea was good. The food was terrible, there was no seasoning (not even salt)on the pork chop, and it had an odd taste. Im not sure what made it taste that way, but I couldn't eat it. My husband had the hamburger steak. It did not have an odd taste, but it lacked seasoning also. I guess they were depending on the brown mushrooms and onion gravy to covering up the lack of seasoning because they really overloaded it on top of his hamburger steak ,but it did not. This was a very disappointing meal that was overpriced for the quality. We will not be back and will not recommend this cafe.
The food has NO seasoning,we left over half the food on our plates

Delicious 😋 lovely little cafe with smiling friendly service and absolutely delicious food. Chicken salad is wonderful, so are the cheese curds and home made ice cream. We stopped here passing through, 4 of us and we all loved it. I wish I lived close, I would love to try everything on the menu. . Oh and they have GLUTEN FREE pizza!

Really nice spot for lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the BBQ ribs, I love good BBQ and am picky about it. The ribs were just ok but the sides were delicious and everything else looked good.
