My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay at Avista! It is conveniently located just south of everything you might need from grocery stores to restaurants to tourist type shops. We stayed in a king suite that had a full kitchen which helped save money from eating out every day. It had pots, pans, blender, coffee machine, plates, cups, silverware, and a dishwasher. The room also had a washer/ dryer. The furniture was kinda dated and needs replaced. Couch cushions were ok and the dinner table was wobbly. Besides that, the room was good. The indoor and outdoor pools were fantastic. Access to the beach was great too. The only two gripes would be the “resort fee” and the parking garage. If you’re going to charge $200 plus for the fee, I would not charge for the daily activities. For the garage, it’s very narrow and needs widened. I’d also put an underground tunnel to the resort so that it limits the chance of people getting hit by a car. Besides that, would stay here again!

I love this resort and have not booked any other in North Myrtle since I’ve been! The rooms are the best! The view of the ocean is perfect! The staff are very accommodating and helpful!

Quite location, nice large beach, plenty of room in the pools and hot tub.
Parking in garage across the street.
Nice restaurant and small bar on site.
Rooms were nice and modern, beds very comfortable.
Short walk to shopping and restaurants in downtown.

Rooms: Ocean front balcony has great views. Rooms were quiet, never heard a neighbor.

Nearby activities: Plenty to see and eat close by. Short drive to shopping centers, and entertainment.

Safety: Never have felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Always well safe

Beautiful on the outside in a good location but could use some room upgrades. Front desk staff upon arrival check-in was rude and Master bedroom in our condo had a stinch even maintenance or deodorizer could not fix. Make sure you ask to be placed on a higher floor if you want a true ocean view. This is our second time staying here and it was no where near as enjoyable as it was the first time. We traveled 16 hours only for disappointment.

The sole purpose of our decision to stay at the Avista was the dedicated oversized parking. The entire time we were here, I had to park offside because the lot was full of small cars. my vehicle was too big to fit in the garage. I brought it to the attention of the front desk, and they told me it's because there is no chain. Great excuse. Anyways, if you have an oversized vehicle, this is NOT the spot to stay. If I have to park 30 minutes away, I'm also leaving a day early due to the inconvenience. Not a great job from your staff.

Rooms: Clean and nice

I thought it was a little over priced for this time of year. Living room sofa was so soft it felt like we were going all the way to the floor when sitting down. The mattress was soft and worn out also. I let them know when checking out but nobody cared.

Staff wasn’t helpful or professional place us on floor where they was doing renovations and the room smelled that we checked out a little early,, not to say we got in early ask if I can check in early that I will pay extra, she stated we don’t do that it’s up to the maid to let us know when your room is ready🤔 and we will text you when it’s ready, so we came back to the resort after no text around 3:50 pm all she had to say is now your room is ready after I gave her my name kept my composure 🤬. Speaking to who this may concern please have a recording of all calls please you will really miss what’s really going on with your staff

The rooms need work. The bathroom outlet was falling out of the wall. The main bathroom bathtub was definitely difficult to figure out how to get the water temp correct. The coffee maker needed directions. The bed was ok. The lazy river and pools were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Rooms: Needed work.

I don't like having to park across the street from the hotel. We had to clean the jetted tub out in our room before use. Bed was comfortable. Polite staff and very helpful.
