Rooms seem like they need some TLC per chipping paint and seemingly roughly used appliances. Our dishwasher was never fixed, out of order since our first day, and dryer doesn't really dry thoroughly. The indoor swim area can be a little rough on the eyes because of the chlorine for me personally. The staff has been friendly and patient with our group. Overall, we have been pleased with our stay.

We had a weekend plan with two other couples. We were looking for a place that was close to our dance venue. We chose the Avista and we are thankful that we did. From checking in to check out we had a wonderful experience. Staff were superb,!!The hotel was extremely nice, we love the facility, and our room was perfect. We had decided to prepare most of our meals in the room. The kitchen area was well supplied with what we needed to accomplish this. We love the fact that we had enough towels in all three bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. we will definitely be back.soon!!Rooms: We chose the three bedroom three bath condo. The condo was perfect for three married couples who didn’t want to share bathrooms. Everyone said that their beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked in order for us to have meals in the room. We were A little concerned that the room would be too small for us, however, it was not it was wonderful!!!

I truly loved my stay at Avista Resort in NMB. The staff was amazing and always said hello boss is there anything I can help you with. The inside pool, hot tub and lazy river were absolutely wonderful. The outside two hot tubs, pool and lazy river were as nice if not better than the inside ones. My family had a blast! I hope to go back.Great job Avista staff!!

If I could give this place 0 stars i would. The customer service at the front desk was sooooooooo horrible I didn’t even get the nasty lady’s name. She was extremely rude and unprofessional when I tried to check in! The disrespect got to the point where I just decided to stay somewhere else. The attitude I received from the clerk was enough for me to not even want to stay and spend money there. I’ll never recommend this place to any and I won’t be back EVER.

So this review is a little different. We booked our room through Airbnb which let me tell you is a complete disaster! Room we paid for was nothing like what we got. After talking to a few people at the hotel that said there is nothing they can do I finally talked to a manager name Melanie who was absolutely outstanding and a great representation of a great manager who takes pride in customer service. She assured me to come down to the lobby and she will take care of my wife and 2 year old. Attached pictures was of what we paid for vs what we got and final pictures with sunset is what Melanie changed us to. We are so grateful for her professionalism and not we get to leave a 5 star review which was originally going to be a one star.

100% Recommend coming to Avista. The 3rd Shift Guest Supervisor Rachel is amazing. She is so kind and a wonderful person overall. The staff here is awesome. They are always helpful and are there for your every need. If you want to go on vacation to North Myrtle Beach, Avista is the place to go.Rooms: The rooms are fully stocked and are in amazing condition. They are well tooking care of.Nearby activities: I recommend going to Broadway at the beach. It is about 23 minutes away from the resort. I also recommend going to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk as well.Safety: Avista really cares for the safety of their customers and residents.Walkability: It's right on the beach. It has easy access to the beach.

The AC does not work in unit #1005. I was lied to numerous times saying that it was fixed while we were out and of course when we returned we discovered it was indeed NOT fixed. I asked for another room but was told we could switch rooms for the night but the next morning we would have to go back to the original room because they were completely booked. I guess it was okay to inconvenience us. Will never stay here again. No the AC was not fixed. I think they knew the AC wasn't working because there were 2 box fans in the closet already. So beware if you get unit #1005.

First time at Avista and we loved every bit of it, well everything except parking but the service was great!Rooms: Clean and had everything you needed!Nearby activities: We mostly did beach activities but was able to do miniature golf with the children not far away.Safety: There were no safety issues.Food & drinks: Plenty of food and drinks on resort but there were restaurants in the vicinity.
