Closed. Believe it's permanent. They never came back after pandemic. Bad food and no help.

Steaks were very good. Waiter was very attentive. Lots of things on menu weren't available. Was over priced for a 12oz ribeye it was $40. Interior was very out dated and smelled like the 50s. Again, no complaints on the food.

Should be listed as $$$.Given the prices, the quality of the meat should be Prime. The quality of the New York strip did not even come up to choice. The side salad was skimpy at best. One positive note, there was live music.

Very disappointing dining experience. Not located on Kings Hwy, is in a nearby strip mall- wasn't easy to locate using gps. Prices were very high, my ribs and chicken were not good- both were dry/lacking flavour, sauce was everyday grocery store quality, veggies were soggy and oily, salad was SMALL, they switched waiters on us, we had to proof read the bill, we were over charged for drinks, waiter ( which one?)-( was the cook also?- would not honor a coupon we had and was unable to credit our c card( cash back instead), music ( 70's r&b/funk) was too loud, there was no atmosphere. We wont' be going back .

All three of us had a really good meal, great service and great music. If you like jazz, Jazz Wednesday here is the place for you. Really good band. I’m hoping to see a good rotation of jazz bands here in the coming weeks. Great room and great atmosphere for listening.

Trying an “old place”, now new owners that we had not been for yrs. Baron’s. We shall see. So far not to good with service, didn’t know music would be blaring while trying to eat. Worst restaurant experience we have ever had!!! Service sucked. Had to ask for water 3 times, then brought us bottled water!!! Food prices are outrageous!! Bill came & they charged us $6 for two bottles of water- are you kidding me!!! Water is FREE in every other restaurant in America!! We left no tip because the service was horrible, prices- wow. Then their excuse was “we have free entertainment tonight”, really - so does every restaurant in Myrtle Beach. We had an order of wings, 2 shrimp dinners (including a baked potato), 4 bottles of beer & one vodka & soda = 110 because there was an entertainment tax, hospitality tax etc. God help them!

Used to go years ago and was good. Apparently place was sold. Night we went horrible singer. About 4 tables seated and at least two appeared to be with the band. Looked as if bartender and server also working kitchen. No water. Unless you want to buy a bottle. This at a supposedly higher end steak restaurant? Drinks are pricey but not unusual for high end restaurants. Unfortunately this place is not high end. Food was absolutely horrible. Steak was thin. Raw in middle, burnt around edges. Better steaks at Outback. Some great restaurants in Myrtle. This is not one of them.

My husband and I had dinner here on a Saturday evening. The good things are the atmosphere and they had live music which we always enjoy. They were not crowded and we didn’t need a reservation since it was March. They have a beautiful bar so we sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the band while waiting for our dinner. My husband ordered a steak. I ordered scallops. Both were good but nothing special. We wanted glasses of water with our meals and were told we had to buy bottles of water. At 2.50 each. Odd… you can’t get a free glass of water with dinner. Then when we were ready to pay we were told we would be charged extra because we were paying with a credit card. I have never had this at any restaurant in Myrtle Beach and we have tried many restaurants. After dinner we walked a few buildings over to a different restaurant/ bar to hear a band there. We noticed that they were serving the exact steak dinner my husband had just gotten for half the price. We should’ve just gone there. But like I said barons is a bit more upscale for a nice dinner experience but plan on those extra charges. We won’t go back. Plenty of other options in Myrtle Beach.

We went on a Thursday night for dinner, and were seated at a table for two, between two doors labeled, "Employees only" Not the best location, and as dinner progressed, I realized there were many empty better tables that we could have been seated at, but we were not. Drinks were acceptable, but small. I am not used to being served a martini, where the glass is less than half full. A shared appetizer we ordered was served, and the bacon-wrapped scallops were good but at 17.00 for 3, very disappointing. My lady's main course was salmon, which was good. I ordered a ribeye steak, that was loaded with grizzle, and had excess fat - not good. When we asked for water, the server said he had bottled water available, and brought two bottles. I have NEVER been to a restaurant that did not serve water at dinner, but this was nothing but an opportunity to charge for it. Deplorable practice, as was a fee charged to process my debit card. Please folks, don't support such a poor business. Even moderate prices (and theirs are not!) never make up for poor quality, and poor owner practice. STAY AWAY! There are many fine restaurants to go to on the Strand, and this, I assure you, is not one of them.

Stopped by Barons with friends on Thursday evening around 5:35 pm. Ordered (2) hamburger plates and (2) chicken breast sandwich plates with french fries. The restaurant wasn't crowded. After twenty minutes we asked the waiter if the order was ready. He was evasive stating he had no control over the kitchen. It is our belief that the waiter was also the cook or he and the bartender shared those duties. Twenty minutes later he stated the order was coming out. Fifteen minutes elapsed and no sign of the waiter or the food. We waited a total of fifty-five minutes and no food. When it finally came the food was under cooked, customer service horrific and management's attitude detestable. The only two people working were the manager and bartender. The managers candor would have been appreciated.

When we started coming to MB 20 plus years ago we asked where to go for a great steak. Baron's was suggested and it's was very good. We ate there several times over over the years and never had a bad dinner until last night. My filet was nicely pink but very dry and grizzle on both ends that I could not cut let alone chew. It made me think it was cooked earlier and warmed up and dried out. Tasteless. Disappointing. The waiter was good but overworked and short staffed. He did take my whole dinner off of the check. One of my guests ordered a Caesar Salad as an entree and got a bowl of chopped lettuce with minimal Caesar dressing and a few 1/4" croutons for $17. Her husband had chopped steak which he enjoyed but the salad that came with it was embarrassingly small. My wife added 4 shrimp to her Caesar salad for $12 more. No bread or rolls. My Scotch from the bar was an ample drink and good but $12. The place has more than doubled in size and no place for a quiet dinner. The band started around 7pm and was good but too loud for dinner conversation. If you want to drink wine and listen to music on Friday nite you will be happy. If you want an good dinner go someplace else.David F. 2/4/2022

We made a reservation for 6 at 5:30 and were seated on time. We placed our order after about 30 minutes of seating, and I noticed that the prices were 5 -8 dollars higher than the website menu showed. Appetizers came out timely. Bacon wrapped scallops, three on a plate, small, not "Jumbo Diver", as described and over cooked. French onion soup that was listed for 8 dollars was 13 dollars and it came out in a tiny cup, the broth looked like dirty sink water, pale, with two croutons and a sprinkle of cheese. The salads were very small. After over an hour with no main course meal, the owner approached our table and informed us that our meal had not yet been prepared but it should be soon. We complained and she offered no apology, no concession...nothing. We left and went elsewhere for dinner. I can honestly say I've never had such a bad experience in a restaurant. I wouldn't give them any stars and rate them AWFUL for service, food, price and PR.

We went for dinner and to listen to live music on a Friday night. The same at many restaurants, they were short staffed, so service was a bit sketchy but they really did try their best. I felt the prices were too high. My burger platter was $18. While it was tasty I think $18 was a bit much for a burger. On the other hand, drinks are a heavy pour and happy hour prices are very good.

The place was so alive! Music, dancing, drinking and eating! A fun time in a very nice environment and at a reasonable cost!!!! Amazing
