This has nothing to do with employees, they were fantastic! The donuts themselves are horrible. They make them fresh while you’re there(think of those pancake machines at motels), and add toppings. So, since they’re fresh, they’re hot. The pictures look nothing like the donuts because the icing melts off and it’s just a plain cakey donut.
I love the pancake donut! What I don't like is the business doesn't take cash most days, and a lot of times people don't work the cash register you have to order with the kiosk. I think that's impersonal when you order through the kiosk but they claim it's to keep covid down. Whatever. I quit going there 2 weeks ago because I can't keep employees and the ones they do have have a smart mouths.
We had a wonderful experience today. This was an impulsive outing, and the rewards were so there. The young lady working was polite, efficient, and wonderful with my son. She made the experience fantastic. We got the fall half dozen, and everything is so beautiful and delicious. My son wanted the spiderweb donut, and she took extra care making it perfect.
I cannot recommend this location enough, and wish beyond wish I had caught the worker’s name for proper recognition.

Everyone was laughing in the backroom playing around and never came up to help customers. The signs all over say to use the kiosk but the kiosk doesn't even have the holiday drinks listed. And I sat at counter waiting for a couple minutes with no answer.

This morning my family and I decided to get Duck Doughnuts, we have made it an annual tradition every beach trip. We went in and ordered our doughnuts and waited for them to be ready. My younger cousin and I were standing near the pick up area and I happen to get the last chair. She had slightly stood in front of the counter since there was no where else to stand/sit. We heard a lady yell from the back and say “Get your butt off the counter! We serve food there.” My family was in complete shock when she said that. I didn’t hesitate for a second to say “She’s just a little girl she didn’t mean to harm anything. It was just an accident.” and then she proceeded to say that we needed to ‘train our kids better.’
The doughnuts were amazing 10/10 like always but the way that lady responded to this situation was very unprofessional. Thankfully one of the other workers came and apologized to my grandmother for the way the situation was handled. We will hopefully be coming back next year , I’m just hoping the service will be better.
