This used to be my favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach. Sadly, we may never return to Empire Fire again. The last time we went, the buffet side of the bar looked as though it not been touched for hours. Worse, they no longer serve rice or sesame bread with your meal. In fact, none of the food was the same quality as it used to be. I don't know what happened, but look at the recent reviews. Everyone has experienced similar situations. The owners need to step in, step up or step off -- and close.

I am very sad to be writing this. We love this restaurant and have always made attending for lunch a tradition in our family vacation every year. Unfortunately, this last visit will be our last. When we walked into the door (with our 13 month old daughter) we were greeted by the hostess who made a comment to us, “I don't know why every feels they need to bring their 50 kids in here”. Then she came to our table to talk to us while we were eating and proceeded to drop the “F” bomb twice in front of my child and others at the table. She openly argued with another waiter (finger in face) at our table. To make up for the cussing she came to our table again and proceeded to make small talk and touch my child. My husband had to ask her to leave and stop touching our baby. To top everything off her cheetah print thong was hanging out of her pants the whole time. We asked to speak to a manager but we were told that they had left for the day. I lost my appetite and we left quickly. NEVER AGAIN!

For years my family and I save a night out to eat for Empire Fire. This year will be our last! As soon as we walked in, we knew something was different. The restaurant seemed dark and empty. Our server told us the kitchen decided not to make fried rice that day and we would not receive the bread they usually offer because they didn't have any. The guy on the grill seemed aggravated. He threw away half of my mothers food on the grill. The items on the buffet looked like they had been there for two days. The place where usually they have prime rib or steaks was closed. The ice cream was horrible. One of the servers kept coming to our table talking bad about the place. The mens restroom was disgusting. It's really a shame, this restaurant used to be fantastic.

If I could give this place a zero I would. The food was horrible, burnt, dried up, the chicken tasted like it was cooked yesterday. 2 of the workers said the food was fresh this morning. I arrived at ll:30 am for lunch (food doesn't dry out that fast). An $8.50 lunch you'd expect fresh food, but that's not what I had. Please dont waste your money on this crappy food, there are plenty of good places to eat in Myrtle Beach

Restaurant was dirty/ smelled unclean. Food was very subpar and did not taste fresh. Several items were missing from the buffet that I had enjoyed before. I had been a loyal customer for years and will not be returning.

When you pay the same price these items should be perfect!

I used to enjoy this place, but it is now a health hazard. I went two weeks ago after not eating there for several months and was so disgusted by the smell and appearance of the meats--it appeared that they had been sitting out for hours and looked like piles of glop--that I asked the waiter how long the food had been out. He said "a couple hours". I left and will never go back. A few days later, I saw that Empire Fire had failed it's most recent health inspection. Sorry to see what has happened to a once enjoyable eating experience.

****Do yourself a favor and don't go there!!!!My son was there with a friend after graduation tonight. They found some weird objects in his friends food, And the fruit items on the salad bar tasted really bad.when they approach them they said they couldn't give them the food for free ( they had barely eaten anything ) Told him it would be theft if they didn't pay it. There are too many great restaurants to eat at in Myrtle Beach to give yourself a bad experience eating junk food at an overpriced restaurant . If I could give it zero stars I would!

Outstanding! Food was hot and fresh. The service was excellent and the price was more than reasonable. I will definitely return as this was my first visit.

We had been for many years but this year was not good. Maybe new management? The grill was ok but there was no ice on the chicken and beef to keep it frozen so I stuck with imitation crab meat, scallops and shrimp (which were kept on ice). The hot and sour soup was pretty good, the rest of the buffet was dried out like it was left from lunch. The hibachi person was not there like in the past. The ice cream was not replinished. We did get there early but even when we left after 5 we were still the only people in the entire place. Used to be a family favorite since it opened, might not be anymore.

Loved this place before ,but that's all changed.4 people working the entire place on a Sunday dinner . The host is the only waitress. One person just cleans tables . One hibachi chef way behind, and it was hotter inside than outside. I'm sorry to see a place go so Downhill

I would give this place a minus 5 if I could. $50 for 4 of us 2 are children. Food was cold and didn't taste good at all. Even the Mongolian food that was cooked fresh had no flavor. Then to top it all off the waitress pissed her pants while working. Note, we was the only ones in the place lol. Last year this place was awesome. Never will we be going back!

Thumbs Down! Years ago this was a nice place to eat; it has gone completely downhill! The food is now lit dimly so you cannot see its quality very well, but it's not fresh. there is less of a selection in the Sushi section, even at dinner time; the egg drop soup look greenish, as did the flan, the lettuce and vegetables showed signs of aging, some of the meat was still frozen, the "chef" did not understand any English, and the manager likes to add many ladles of condiments to the food so that it becomes soupy. I swore to myself that this was the last time - a bad dinner for two costing more than $30!
