Great little local restaurant! I got a fishbowl margarita and it was the best I think I’ve ever had! We got a massive steak burrito and shrimp nacho! Will be coming back thanks to Jamie!

My entire family went to this restaurant and our waitress took our orders than 1/2 an hour later she said "we have a 13 top table it might take more time" than 15 mins later she said it again as a excuse. When my burger came, I took a bite than realized the meat was bad. Even my dad took a bite and said it was sour. The other worker said "let me take a bite" and "I don't see anything wrong with this". Than manager said he would take care of it. So my dad got me tenders. Please Be Careful About This Place.

Ordered a to-go queso and chips. It was the smallest container of queso that I have ever seen. The bag was 3/4 full of just chips- no salsa to be found 😕

Food was bland. Git queso and chips no salsa. Taco had no cheese or tomato. Very bland. TACO BELL IS BETTER.

Honestly we were highly disappointed. The place needs to be throughly cleaned. The door to the kitchen was open and it looked bad inside. The bathrooms needed a good cleaning and the main floor hasn’t seen a broom in a long time.
The staff needs to have clean uniforms and look presentable…
We would not go back…

This place is a really good idea to check out if you're into American style Mexican food. I went on 10/24/24 and got a blackened fish taco and a Carolina BBQ taco both were tasty. The food quality/portion to dollar ratio is rather reasonable especially considering this is located in a tourist area. Aside from tacos I saw they had some quesadillas and of course nachos. Our server was nice and the overall layout was very unique. My only real critique was the gift shop does not carry 3xl shirts, the guy in the shop specifically said that size costs too much to make which sadly resulted in no sale there. As the world gets fatter the shirts get smaller. This is still a very good 4.5 out of 5, ill be back and get a plush hippo and maybe if I'm lucky a 3xl shirt.

We visited Nacho Hippo on 10/4. We had gotten in to town later then we wanted and had two tired kiddos. We had to wait about 15 mins for seating. Our waitress was Monica B. SHE'S THE BEST WAITRESS WE'VE EVER HAD. She took care of every need and then some. Monica B if you see this, thank you! The food was awesome and we're looking forward to visiting again.
