Panera bread is a hit with our family. We eat there every day. The other day I received excellent customer service from a new employee. She was great. Please let Jeremy Spencer know she is an outstanding employee.

We went to Panera yesterday and the guy took our order with no total and told us to pull around. We sat in that drive thru for an extreme amount of time. When we got to the window the guy asked me what I ordered and I told him. The guy mumbled what the total was and took my card. He handed me my card back with no receipt. We sat there for a very long time. He came back and handed me a bag and I looked in it because I had ordered a salad and a sandwich and it didn't feel right. Of course it wasn't because it appeared to be two subs. So I got his attention and told him it wasn't what I ordered. I handed it back to him and he put it with the several bags of food on the counter next to the register. Apparently he was just picking random bagged orders and handing them out hoping to pass it on to people whether it was their order or not. Which where I am from once it's out the window and handed to someone you can't take it back and then hand it to the next person. He asked me what I ordered again and I told him. A lot of time passed and he handed me another bag. I pulled the items out and handed him the salad back and told him I had ordered it without cheese. He took it over and either him or another employee removed the cheese and put the lid back on it and handed it back. He said anything else? I said I need a fork. He went and got one. Not in plastic wrap or anything. And I said I need a receipt for what I paid for. He looked confused at the register and went and got the manager. I thought to myself he didn't can't give me a receipt because I didn't pay for my food but someone else's. She came back and told me she would get that refund for me. I didn't ask for a refund? I wanted receipt. That told me his English must have been very limited because he only knew two questions to ask and didn't seem to know how to use the register. She gave me a receipt for the refund of 9.99 but not the order receipt. She didn't ask me anything about what was going on and seemed to be in a hurry. I had to log into my online banking to see what the total was and it was 24.34. For a salad and a sandwich? Like unreal. I'm still not sure what I paid was for my actual order. I bet I was in that drive thru for almost an hour being only the second customer in line. The manager had no clue. As well as why would you put someone on a register that is supposed to take orders that can't speak English and isn't trained? I had never been to a Panera bread in my life and I don't expect to ever return to one. I still don't see the refund reflected on my account. So I'm likely going to have to call someone higher. The food quality definitely wasn't worth that kind of hassle.

This is too service only. It's 3:25 and the kitchen area is loud. I asked could my pecan roll be heated. Blank stare. So I asked is there a microwave or some way to heat my pastry. 😳🙄
I don't frequent Panera Bread much but I anticipate that can change because of my new job. My point is sometimes we the customer need to be advised. If you not to young to be hired, you are not to young to be a courteouse CSR....customer service representative and cashier.. I was tired of being in class all day. I needed a little extra.

As someone who works in customer service I can say this was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had. The employees will look at you and completely ignore you, they are so rude. I waited 10 minutes to be greeted at the register while multiple employees just strolled by and didn’t say a word while I could hear other employees laughing in the back I felt like I was being pranked honestly.
