Sweet Molly's Creamery

Amazing place! Their ice cream is so creamy and rich, and the fudge is made fresh right there in front of you. You can smell the caramel and chocolate as soon as you walk in. The staff are super friendly and happy to let you try flavors. Everything tastes homemade and full of flavor. Definitely one of the best sweet spots around!

The end of an Era has come to Sweet Molly's Creamery. I have been getting phenomenal milk shakes at Sweet Molly's Creamery for over a decade and even while they were named Maggie Moos. The milk shakes are over $10 but they were worth it. So much so, that it was a ritual every time I came to Myrtle Beach. Usually a few times per year. Then I took a friend there on 9-16-25 , bragging the whole way there. I bought the same Cake Batter chocolate milk shake. I asked for it thick, just as I have done every other time. What I got was excuses and the saddest example of a milk shake you could imagine. I feel cheated and ripped off. I was their only customer at the time and you would have thought they would have put some effort it. NOPE. I have shared this event with some locals and they are recommending the Crazy Mason Milk Shake bar. Fingers crossed that I can find a worthy establishment to restart my tradition.

Worst customer service. My family of 5 went for ice cream and my husband had to take a work phone call, so he stayed outside while on the phone. Another group walked in behind us and then they closed, locking the doors. While my last kid was getting their ice cream made, I let my husband in the locked door. I was then waiting to pay so he could get his ice cream and the worker said she wouldn’t serve him because he came in after the door was locked. When the party behind us offered to buy his ice cream, she refused and said he wasn’t allowed to get ice cream. We paid $36 for basic ice cream and had a terrible experience. Would not recommend!!

Ordered 3 small cups for kids, they asked for toppings. Staff began to mix toppings in. Well, kids dont like mixed in, but like it on top. I asked not to mix, and that created whole issue. All 3 workers gave me an attitude saying they dont put it on top, they only mix it in. What????? You cant put toppings on top of ice-cream????they continued mixing it in. Kids felt very uncomfortable and agreed to it. They threw 3 cups on a counter for me to pay. We are locals and been there several times and every time staff is miserable. Never again

Wait was short, friendly staff and good selection!

Very rude male employee. I tried to order a “big unicorn sundae”. When I asked if he can do that in a waffle cone cup he just kept saying “no” without explaining why. Once I said okay then do it in a regular cup he just walked away without asking if I wanted anything else. So then as he was making my first ice cream I told him I wanted another he said “I can’t help you anymore” So now I’m standing there awkwardly trying to order my second ice cream and finally someone else helped me. Very bad system they have. Line moves slow. Not such a “sweet” place.

On July 24 the guy working the 4pm shift he is bald, yelled at me in front of customers while I was holding the double door open for my twin stroller and elderly mother. Saying I am letting the cold air out. I said I’m sorry man I’m holding the door for my mom but he said I need to close the door. Very embarrassing for me and my hard working family that we decided to walk out because everyone was staring in shock and disbelief!!! With his attitude

The wait was short and the staff very friendly and polite. The wait was about 5 minutes and the ice cream was very delicious. They had about 10 - 15 flavors of ice cream. There was no seating in the store but there is plenty of room outside with live music.

Terrible Service, ended up leaving.

I rarely leave reviews but I had high hopes for this place. The ice cream looked delicious, however, they overmixed the ice cream so much that it was pouring out of the cup and got all over my husband’s hands and shoes. I had to pour half of it out before I could put my spoon in the cup without it spilling over. Way too expensive for me to barely get anything but toppings covered with melted ice cream.

While we appreciate that sweet mollys creamery is very strict on allergies, it would be nice to have a sign or a notice that you will be denied any toppings. We waited over an hour, missed the fireworks show (I understand summer means longer lines so that wasn’t the issue), just to be told that they couldn’t make the flavor.
We asked twice in advance if having the allergy would be alright there, to which two different employees said it would not be a problem. If you are going to have long lines, please make your employees aware that there is an expectation to let the customers know this, as well as leaving the attitude at the door. While we were in there we heard multiple people get yelled at for the place they were standing (in line???).
Please communicate better. Will no be returning.
