Tailgate Oyster Bar

We just came from there and it was THE BEST!! The oysters, clams and shrimp were sooo good. Dossie was awesome and the other guys and gals that spoke to us were great as well! We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

Great oyster bar. But it smells like oysters. My wife loves oysters. Me? Not so much. The burger & shrimp are good, but again, the place smells fishy. The entertainer was great. Funny.

If you want the freshest oysters in North Myrtle Beach, you have to go to the Tailgate. It's a no nonsense, neighborh
ood specialty oyster bar/restaurant that pretty much does one thing, oysters. Man do they do them right! Tailgates is only open three evenings a week and only for three hours. If you like oysters or want to try them this will be your new favorite place. See you there!

Go for the oysters. Other stuff is decent but the oysters are great. Service is always good. Restaurant does fill up fast though, so if you don’t want to wait or if you want your pick of seating arrive 15 minutes before opening.

If you’re craving a local place with friendly service, cool throwback vibes and awesome food, check out Tailgate Oyster Bar! Our family of four enjoyed our experience. Collectively, we had steamers, steamed shrimp, New England chowder and smash burgers. Everything was excellent!

If you are African American this place is not for you. Our server told us there was no Oysters left but then 10 min later went to another table and stated Oysters were being shuffled. I can’t rate food because outside of Oysters nothing else was offered from the waitress.

The customer service was outstanding!! My granddaughter was not feeling well and the servers were very attentive of her. But let me tell you about the food. I had the raw oysters, grilled oysters, oysters Rockefeller and Old Bay steamed shrimp. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS 😋 I wanted a pineapple martini and the bartender made a very nice one. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in the area.
