My wife and I had the seafood trio, our friend had a steak. Top notch as usual. We vacation here every year and The Shack is a must stop. Jane was our waitress and you could not ask for someone who would be better than her. Fantastic service and food. Unfortunately, heading back to Columbus in the morning. Until the next trip, we shall return.

We come to Myrtle once a year and the last 3 years, The Shack has been consistent and made its way into a tradition for us to go to on the way back home.
Consistently amazing in food, service, environment and cost. This place should have a chokehold on its community and should never have an empty table. Make sure you add this destination to your trip.

We ordered 2 crab cake dinner to share. Never seen FLAT crab cakes before but we've gotten bfst and shrimp dinners before, all delicious, so we shrugged our shoulders and proceeded to split the meal between us 2 girls. We each took a bite of crab cake first. Just had to check it out, ya know. Looked at each other and wrinkled our noses. Not the same!! Spices seemed diff too. This won't keep us from going back!! We just won't order grilled/broiled crab cakes again.
Wife an I ate dinner here. Enjoyed it so much we went back for breakfast later that week of our vacation. Definitely home cooked goodness. Took 1 star off service just because our breakfast waitress just wasn't as attentive as the dinner one. Will definitely go back.
