I ordered the grilled Fish. It was really good also the tomato Pie was great. It had crispy cheese. Yummy! My husband git the chicken fried steak and he said it was good as well.

I can't say enough good things about the Shack -- It is just REAL GOOD home cooking. We travel to North Myrtle beach a couple of times a year and we NEVER miss going to the Shack. Typically we will go to a breakfast (or 2) as well as a dinner. This is southern cooking at it's best. Go early -- There is almost always a wait.
This is THE spot for a good bite to eat! We stopped here on 01/02/26 for lunch and it was delicious! I hate I forgot to get a picture! This place was so good that we stopped again this morning for breakfast on our way out and it was a 10/10 both times! Good atmosphere, great food, and incredible staff. I cannot wait to come back here again next year!

My husband and I had dinner at The Shack and were really impressed. They always seem to stay busy, so donāt show up too hungryāeither get there early or be prepared for a crowd. That said, the food is absolutely worth it. I ordered the fried scallops, fried flounder, and fried shrimp, and everything was wonderful. The breading was light, flavorful, and perfectly crisp, and all of the seafood came out hot and fresh. Iām not usually a fan of slaw, but theirs was honestly some of the best Iāve ever had. My husband had the fried chicken with mac and cheese, lima beans, and mashed potatoes. He loved every bit of it, and the whole plate was a special for just $14, which is hard to beat. The hush puppies with honey butter were another standoutāso good. Service was friendly and efficient despite how busy they were. You can tell this is a true local favorite, and now we understand why. We would definitely eat here again.

During our visit to Myrtle Beach, my granddaughter and I were eager to try the renowned shack. However, upon our first attempt, we were met with a long line snaking out the door, and the chilly 40Ā° weather made us reconsider. We decided to return another day, hoping for a more convenient experience. To our delight, the following day, we found ourselves quickly seated at a table, much to our surprise.
Before our main courses arrived, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary bucket of mini ball hush puppies served with honey butter. These hush puppies were exceptional, offering a unique twist on the traditional cornmeal variety. They appeared to be flour-fried, providing a delightful texture and flavor. My granddaughter enjoyed hers with a touch of ketchup, while I found the honey butter to be the perfect complement, enhancing the taste of the fried hush puppies.
The only minor letdown was my mimosa. While the restaurantās hospitality and food were outstanding, the alcohol content in the mimosa was a bit too strong for my liking, and I was unable to finish it. Despite this small hiccup, the overall experience was wonderful, and we left the shack with full bellies and happy hearts, cherishing the delightful meal we had shared.
This was a cosy restaurant, excellent service and great food options. All four of us loved our dinner.

The meal was delicious overall, although the greens were a bit sweeter than I preferred, I still managed to finish them.
