Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I went to this location the lobby was a little bit busier than usual. There was 2 workers but they both acted as if they had an attitude, one stayed in the back while the cashier tried to wait on and fix smoothies for about 10 different people. They both were more concerned on giving someone directions to some where in MB, I waited about 25 minutes and had to ask, how much longer for an acai bowl!!!!! You guys may need to hire more help or more training.....

This place is the oddest place I have ever visited. The staff wasn't very engaging, blinds were pulled down like the place was closed, no one was talking to each other, everyone walked around as if I was disturbing them, and the smoothie wasn't mixed probably.

Bad service, rude staff

Edit: Reducing my score from 2 to 1. The service continues to get worse. They are actively hostile, miserable people.

First time come in. We re deaf couple and I give an order. I see two worker look each and smile to make fun of my talk they re not respect deaf culture.

1/25 sunday. 11:55 an Had to listen to crew complain about coworkers with vulgar language while we dined in. Cashier interrupted us while ordering to continue conversation with coworkers. Very loud and sloppy. I see cameras up. I encourage you in listen

I echo the sentiment about the horrendous customer service by previous reviewers. The food and smoothies are just fine but I’ve never felt more cold attitudes and weak service. The three young people working here can’t be bothered to speak, look up, take anyone’s orders, assist with pick up orders or be personable in the least bit. If you kids hate your jobs this much, life is short, quit and move on. Management, maybe have an intervention and pay them more or ask if they’d be better elsewhere and cut ties.

While my açaí bowl was very good, the service was downright horrible. As soon as we walking in the door, the people working looked at us with pure disgust. My server- Elisha- gave us nasty faces and was not at all ready to serve. She angrily cut the bananas and put our bowls together like it was an inconvenience for us to order. If it was such an inconvenience i could’ve came behind the counter and made my own bowl. She then walked to the back without me finishing paying, and didn’t even ask about my receipt. She also put that it was a To-Go order without even asking me. She obviously did not want us in “her” store. Honestly, i strongly recommend going to Salty Brews by the beachfront. The service and quality is so much better. 1 star.

The Acai Bowls are decent / my only complaint is that charging $1.29 for peanut butter drizzle is ridiculous and a bit insulting honestly. I asked the employee to be generous with the peanut butter since they basically give you a tiny amount regardless of paying extra. I hope they learn from Playa Bowls and get better.
