Veal Piccata was so tough I couldn't cut it even with a knife. Patron across the aisle sent her veal dish back for the same reason. My wife's eggplant parm was so bitter she took it home hoping she could doctor it up, but no such luck. Sauce was disgusting, worse than off brand jar sauce (tough pill to swallow for someone whose last name ends in a vowel). And then we find out they don't take American express. The waiter was ok, the place looked nice, but if i could give the food zero stars I would. And I'm not a picky eater. For $30per meal, I would expect far better.

Entree Portions are small, which if they tasted better would help.

Chicken francaise tastes like straight egg batter. Veil was maybe a 4oz portion with some potatoes.

The included spaghetti, the sauce tastes like dish detergent. Which is disgraceful coming from an Italian joint.

Will never eat here again. Pizza Hut has more “Italian” food than this place.

Came here with high hopes, felt very rushed thought the whole dinner. My tall service who was bald ignored me when I asked him a question. He was taking away plates with food on them before we were done, mid bite, without asking if we were finished eating. Our table of 12 felt the same way, rushed through our whole meal and protecting our plates before we were done with them.
Very disappointed!

I have walked by dozens of times over the years while on vacation but this was our first time at Umberto’s. Extremely happy with our meals, chicken parmigiana was one of the best I’ve ever had. The actual quality of the food was top notch! Atmosphere and service were also great. I will definitely be back!

Service was impressively quick and our waiter was excellent, attentive without being overbearing. The food portions were generous and satisfying. We ordered the veal parmesan and chicken piccata, both of which were flavorful and well-prepared.

The bread was outstanding, soft and fresh, and the beans and greens were a highlight. We even enjoyed it enough to take home a recipe, which was a nice touch.

The only drawback was the limited beer selection. No draft beer was available, and there were no IPA options in cans, which was a bit disappointing given today’s craft beer trends.

Overall: Great service, hearty and delicious Italian food, and warm hospitality. Just wish the drink menu had more variety.

Amazing place and tonssss of food.
3 free entrée to start.
It was loud because it gets full of people. Go ready to wait for a least 30 mins, all worth it. Nearby is a park for kids and ICE-CREAM.

My husband and I went here for dinner on a recommendation from someone I met by the pool at our hotel. My husband had a Center cut pork chop. Well let me tell you when that thing came out…All I could say is wow huge portion two big thick cut pork chops. He said they were delicious. Interesting enough. The warm-up that comes with the meal was very different and very tasty. It was a bean dish that comes out family style and also bread. It was a bean dish that comes out family style and also bread and tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions with an Italian dressing. Angel hair pasta with a tomato based marinara was very tasty also included. I had eggplant parmigiana 4 thin cutlets with sauce and provolone cheese very good. To top it off I wanted cannoli because I love cannoli and it’s rare place that I go that I can get it. Add a glass of wine and the entire meal for two people was $83. I paid more for our lunch the other day that was half as good.
I would definitely return. The service was wonderful very attentive our waiter
(I believe his name is Ivan) was great. We are now sitting in Barefoot landing on Adirondack chairs stuffed.
And had to go plates for another meal tomorrow .

Go hungry, get rolled out the door at the end of the meal! We couldn't eat it all and took some home. Great place to eat after a day's worth of wine tasting.

Wonderful atmosphere, good service. The beans and tomato/cucumber salad are great! The maranara sauce tastes like ragu jarred sauce to me, but the waiter swore it was made in house. The meat sauce was better but still just okay. We got the chicken parm with meat sauce and it was edible but I wouldn't get it again.

The bread is fresh and decent with great whipped butter. We also got the chicken pakata and it was good, not great. The chicken is very tender and juicy and the sauce is decent, but the chicken is not breaded at all. Still pretty tasty dish and I might get it again.

I hear the pork chops and steaks are good but have never tried them. I wish they'd up their game on the sauce! It's so simple to make an excellent sauce that blows away what most people have tasted but maybe they just don't realize how to make it. Overall we'll go back for the atmosphere and because it's become our spot to go to in Myrtle, but I wish the Italian dishes were better. The fact that they do a full course meal with the beans, salad and pasta makes it worth it.

Great location, and food was ok. We had lobster ravioli, shrimp scampi. Italian food is plentiful, and the food here was meh. It's like eating chain restaurant food at 4x the price. Not worth it.
