Dukes BBQ on Chestnut Rd is run by members of the Earl Dukes family. Remember Mr Earl as a neighbor of my parents who lived on the corner of the street that went to his house. Remember his starting the business and so glad his family has carried on the business that has the good ole hash and BBQ meat. I have lived out of town for many years but when I get a chance I go to Orangeburg I go to the Chestnut Street one. Ann is always so nice and is the first one you will talk to when you order "to go " BBQ or eat at the buffet. It has always been a favorite of my family.

Passed through Orangeburg, SC and happened upon Duke's. The sweet lady recommended the BBQ on hash. OMG! So yummy! BBQ with hash, rice, cole slaw and a slice of white very reasonably priced.

Wow! Do one thing and do it well! And the folks at Duke's do just that! No intentions of getting food but the drive through line was out into the road and the parking lot was full so I had to see what the fuss was all about. Did not disappoint! Limited selection of choices but extremely healthy proportional helpings of delicious affordable food. BBQ was so good. The staff hustle to bust out these small selections of food by the pounds! And don't forget to try some homemade ice-cream! ***Only hitch - CASH ONLY!***
