Third time there, we were seated under the patio outside. I ordered the cheeseburger with steak fries. The burger was well done and to done for me. The steak fries were warm and good. My fiance had the NY Strip, fried okra along with the house salad. She said that the steak was ok, the okra was good along with her salad. We were served a loaf of bread and butter that we did not eat. The kicker was the flies, we constantly had to wave to keep them off our food. All the guests were doing the same and were complaining to themselves. The owner came by to check on us and was spraying lavender, there were several sachets under and around the tables. Never got refills on our beverages and heard the servers apologize for being short handed. We have ate in the dining room and in the outside area previously and never had any issues. The patio could definitely be screened in to keep the flies away.

Food is always delicious. The service is incredible. We’ve been several times and have always left full and happy. What literally put the cherry on top? Requested the brownie sundae as a treat since we went for my son’s birthday. He sort of jokingly asked for 7 cherries since it was his 7th birthday and they delivered. His happiness was priceless.

WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN 😒 this place is THE MOST RACIST place I have ever been to me and my mother came here to eat like we have done in the past although this time apparently the color of our skin was the problem today when we got there it was a 30 minute wait witch is fine so we waited finally got our set there was a table behind us where no one had been sitting for about 7 to 10 minutes after me and my mother had sat down when the other couple had came in to set at the table behind us our waitress seemed extremely excited to serve them more so than she was to serve us (witch is fine i get it she may have known them) but still so me and my mother had ordered our food we both ordered sweet potatoes nothing was said everything was fine well 10 minutes had passed and I see her talking to the couple at the table behind us she tells them that she's so sorry but that they were out of sweetie potatoes so the man just ordered something else then another 10 minutes had passed here comes our waitress to tell me and my mom that they only had 1 sweetie potatoe so my mother been nice said ok I'll just let my daughter get the sweetie potatoe and I will just get a regular potatoe and she said ok and walked away then another 10 minutes went bye so yes this is 30 minutes thats went bye and im noticing that the couple that came in 7 to 10 minutes after us had gotten there food when we ordered our food before the couple behind us had even ordered drinks so at this point im pissed off because where is our food at and why has other people gotten there food before us when we ordered before them then I also noticed that the men had a sweetie potatoes on his plate when the waitress had told him before us that they were out of sweetie potatoes so im vary pissed off at this point then after that another girl not even our waitress cames to out table saying that she sorry but there are out of sweetie potatoes so I told her just keep it and we left i will never spend my money there ever again!!!! I’ve frequented this restaurant many times mostly takeout. I’ve raved about the food…until last night. My cousin and I got the ribeye. Her’s was great but mine was mostly fat and grissel. Of course I sent it back. The owners wife came out and argued with me that I should just try it. Ok I’m sure what small amount of meat there was that was without grissel tasted good but why would I pay $26 for that?? She FINALLY took it and several minutes later the owner comes out and has cut the silver dollar sized chunk of fat out of the middle and says see I cut off the fat, it’s a ribeye and we are just charging you $20. WHAT??? I AM STILL IN SHOCK AT THE LEVEL OF UNPROFESSIONALISM and outwardly grostesque display of arrogance and pridefullness. Pride cometh before the fall and God dont like ugly! Im still discombobulated that you brought me back a now cold steak that youve been back there hacking on?? SERIOUSLY??? Also You most definitely didn’t cut all the fat, only the huge chunk in the middle and the meat had grissel all through it anyway. It was a bad cut of steak that i got maybe 3 ozs of steak from that i didnt have to chew and spit out. It happens to everyone but to be attacked by the owner and his wife because I’m not happy spending my hard earned money on it is outrageous. I’m still in disbelief. I hope everyone takes heed before they order a steak from this establishment. It really makes me sad because I’ve enjoyed many great meals from there other than this steak but my all friends and family nor I will spend another dime there. Pleasant surprise tonight!
First-timers. Hubby loved his med-rare steak, it was cooked perfectly...and the grilled chicken breast was SO tender and juicy (with a side of peppers and onions). I was actually blown away by it. My expectations on the chicken breast wasn't anywhere near what it actually ended up being! Great meal, nice staff, clean restaurant...we'll definitely be back! Thank you!

Tonight was our first visit to Phil’s. We had a large party, so it took some time to seat us, but the food and service was worth it! I had the grilled salmon. It was delicious. The key lime pie was worth our wait alone. Others in my group that had steak expressed it was good. They looked good as did the burgers. Friendly folks!
