We can't not go here. Best flavors, and great staff.Vegetarian options: "vegetarian" is a stupid question for an ice cream shop, but they always have had at least one of not multiple dairy free options, often including a vegan ice cream, sometimes just sorbet.Dietary restrictions: Always willing to accommodate celiac if you mention it. Very nice staff.

My niece actually works here, but was not working when we visited. We live 45min-1hr from there and we're passing through and wanted some ice cream. I had a strawberry milkshake with french vanilla ice cream and my wife had a banana split. We both thought it tasted very good, not busy so it was quick service, and staff was friendly. I was not a fan of the seating arrangements and there were small candy pieces everywhere from kids I assume. That aside it was somewhere we would visit again when in the area.

We were the only people in the restaurant. Our order was completely delicious. One milk shake and one cup of specialty ice cream with nuts on top. The serve was friendly and informative. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Homemade ice cream that tastes like little licks of heaven! Haven't had a disappointing choice of ice cream, yet!

Stopped on the way back from Charleston, this will definitely be our go to spot when ever were down that way again. Ice cream was delicious and all homemade, other items were also homemade and delicious, and the milkshakes were great, especially the malted that I had. Not the cheapest place for ice cream, but worth it. Highly recommend.
Me and my wife love coming here whenever we get the chance, the ice cream is so delicious and I recommend the coffee and my wife recommends the bourbon ice cream it’s all so very delicious

I visited Gilbert's today and have been a frequent customer for the past 3 years since moving to Pawleys. Today, I was charged $78.09 for a box of ten premade ice cream sandwiches. I questioned the price and the owner, Angela, came out from the back and refunded me $20 because I bought a box of ten; otherwise that would be the correct price for 10 individually. We absolutely love supporting local businesses like Gilbert's and we appreciate that the ice cream is homemade, but nearly $8.00 for an individual premade ice cream sandwich? Seriously, I was dumbfounded. We have had cheaper gourmet ice cream with organic ingredients in NYC recently! Additionally the sandwiches are much smaller with less ice cream fill than we have had there in the past and the price nearly doubled. I wish I would've asked the price before purchasing, but my daughter had her heart set on bringing ice cream sandwiches from her favorite ice cream parlor to celebrate her birthday in class. I couldn't break her heart, but my wallet sure is broke! Be forewarned. I am unsure who is able to afford these prices given the current wages here in SC. Unfortunately, we are heartbroken and quite hesitate to return.

It's always a great place to stop and get ice cream and sorbet. Amazing rotation of different flavors.

Delicious ice cream, although I was a bit bummed about them not having pistachio flavor.Interior feels a bit cramped but it still feels like an oasis from the heat.
This place is amazing! We love the ice cream especially the "flight" where you get a half-scoop of 4 different flavors!
