The food took way too long to come out after ordering. My daughter and I shared a seafood platter which cost $37. It amounted to 6 small shrimp, one small crab cake, 5 scallops that were overcooked and the smallest piece of flounder I have ever been served. We ordered glazed carrots and what we got was steamed baby carrots with very little flavor. Very very under-whelmed. It will be the last time we ever eat there.

I have been going to Hanser House for years. Always consistent, I enjoy their salads , They still have baked potatoes on the menu and food is always good. Obviously, for the previous review- it is in SC so I order appropriately. I wouldn't order flounder in Maine so I've never had a lobster in SC. Go for the shrimp or grouper or their chowder always good.

Very Good Seafood - Still.. We dine here every year at least once during our annual visit to North Litchfield. This year our dinner was as good a ever. I love their Murrells Inlet Oyster Stew. I had the seafood combination grilled, the two people that I was with had a fried 2 item combo of oysters and fantail shrimp and the Shrimp Creole respectively - and all were great. The service was great - we had a 18-month old with us - and it was no problem. Rachel, our server had the patients of jobe and was very helpful in accomadating the child. The prices were reasonable for what we had. Our entrees ranged from 18.99 for the Creole to 26.99 for the Grilled Seafood Platter. All included a house salad and the platters included a veggie. Wine was $8.50 per glass.

I've dined here as a teenager with my family and as a husband with my wife. Over 16 years this restaurant has never disappointed us, I have never had a negative experience and the food, drinks and service are perfect.
Hanser House Restaurant was fantastic! Our waitress Sidney was excellent, very friendly, prompt, super helpful, and full of southern charm! Love the atmosphere! Food was delicious! Their hush puppies are little balls of sweetness! Not sure what batter is used on the fried seafood, but it was delicious! The prime rib was tasty & juicy! Highly recommend this place; we'll be back!
Family of six with three picky eaters. The menu accommodated everyone and the food was cooked to perfection. Even the kids chicken tenders were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Service from start to finish was amazing. Check them out, you won’t regret it.

My lobster was raw, I sent it back and it came back raw again. Was highly disappointed. It wasn't cheap!

We have been coming to Hanser House for 15 years. It is our favorite restaurant to eat at in Pawley’s Island ! We have always been pleased with the service and the food! The she crab soup is the best I have had anywhere! The servers always have a pleasant attitude. We enjoy seeing Granny and Heath and supporting such a great local family run business!

On vacation. Eaten here a few years ago. Restaurant was very busy but the service was outstanding. Great choice of dishes for everyone. Food was hot and you got a lot. Great place for family.
Waitress had the nerve to walk up to our table to complain about the “black”party of 120 that was delayed and whispered to us that they were balck. You have to be freaking kidding me! If it wasn’t for the customers of all colors lady you wouldn’t have a freaking job! You should be ashamed of yourself! And the manager owners should fire you! I love this place but guarantee I will never be back!
