Great food & great staff! We will be back!

I waited for 8 years to come back to this wonderful spot that my husband and I always enjoyed (20 Yrs in a row). Boy was I disappointed. The waitress brought us the wrong beer - twice! Staff was rude and not friendly, including the big burly bartender. Plus, to top it all off, I was up sick all night with some type of food poisoning after eating the she crab soup or the crab cakes. And no Fish Stew! There was always fish stew - daily. Guess it's new management. Too bad. This used to be a happening place, friendly and lots of fun...not so much anymore.

The owner commented " me and wife really knew how to clear a room". What do you think he meant ? They need to: Serve fresh sea food as advertised . They are over priced, the food quality and portions as priced exceed the much nicer restaurants in the area.

This is a no frills restaurant with great food. The staff was excellent and friendly. After being seating the owner came over and introduced himself to us. I watched as he went from table to table to greet every patron. I had a nice salad with Cajun grilled chicken. The chicken was great not overly spiced. My girlfriend had a grilled seafood platter with an array of shrimp fish scallops oysters and crab cake. We will definitely make this a regular stop when here. This is a definite local favorite don't miss it.

We found this place in a guest guide from Huntington Beach State Park. The slogan said "not fancy, just fresh", and it was exactly what we were looking for! We had catfish bites, flounder, shrimp & onion rings. It was all fresh and cooked perfectly. Try them, you won't be disappointed.

Great service. The shrimp and scallops are some of the best I've had. Get them Cajun grilled!

I ordered a half & half platter. I got half fried shrimp & half Cajun grilled flounder. The shrimp was very good & the Cajun grilled flounder had good flavor, but lots of bones. Our server only came to our table to take our order & bring our check. Otherwise, there was another girl who came to fill our drinks. Toward the end of our meal a different server came to ask how everything was & I told her about the bony fish. She told the owner who came to ask about it. All he said was he was sorry & wished I would have said something sooner. I would have liked to have had to only pay for half my meal or to get a new piece of fish, but that was not offered. My husband & kids all had excellent food: Cajun grilled scallops, fried shrimp & Cajun fried grouper sandwich.

Just ate here with my family... The hush puppies are so good, and LOTS of them. Favorites of the family were the flounder, grouper, and creek shrimp.

Love this place! We always make time on our vacation to eat at this restaurant. The owner is very friendly and great with kids. Their food is excellent!

We stayed at the Captain's Quarters, a 3 bedroom condo building C. The rooms were amazing, spacious, clean, & well maintained. Our view was exactly what we wanted, to see and hear the ocean. I sat out on the patio, watched the waves, and drank my morning cup of coffee. We walked on the beach, swam in the pool, with the comforts of home close by. Just remember to ask for your pool passes when you check in. Every area is assigned their own pool. Finally relax and enjoy, we did :)

Great food! Friendly and fun atmosphere! Great place for kids! It's not often you are welcomed and seated by the owner of a restaurant these days! Great experience overall!

Looks like an interesting place from outside. We didn't want to drive far for dinner, so we decided to give it a try. I brought my service dog with me and people rudely stared, shook their head with disgust. I should have left because they continued this behavior the entire time. I shouldn't have let this bother me, considering that these people didn't know any better. Food was ok, greasy and delivered FAST. WILL NOT GO BACK (make my rating 1/4 STAR)

The owner was Polite, he came and introduced himself right away and shook our hands. The waitress was very friendly. Three of us got the Grouper Sandwich (pictured) for $19.99. The other person got a burger. The grouper was good, burger was good, fries were good (A little pricey though for just a sandwich.)
