We've stopped at the Old Kitchen many times. Usually at Night of a Thousand Candles for wine while walking the grounds, and perhaps a giant chocolate chip cookie. Today we had the roast beef and provolone sandwich and a Caesar chicken wrap. They were fantastic! Both were freshly made with top-notch ingredients. Iced tea went well with them, the service was excellent, and the garden view was extra special.

This is by far one of the greatest places to grab a bite in all the grand strand. Just getting to it, finding it, taking your time to get food, looking at golden Dionysus through old warped glass as the cardinals flutter about; an adventure. But,
They now have bloody Mary’s and the roast beef sandwich on crusty bread with lettuce and very fresh tomato was really a hit with the roasted garlic aïoli! Best location. Wonderful service. The food has just gotten better and better.

Tucked in the beautiful gardens of Brookgreen, the kitchen is a perfect place to sit down and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, a homemade cookie or scone, and take in your surroundings. You'll be tempted to sit there all day. Small sandwiches and wraps as well. You'll be reminded just how beautiful things can be.

Nice little cafe to stop for a snack, love the cozy vibe and the view of the fountain/quaint garden surrounding the view from the outdoor dining area. My only complaint was that I wish they put a sign somewhere in front of the building that they stopped serving sandwiches half an hour before closing because I looked forward to trying one.
Wheelchair accessibility: There was a ramp to get up to the shack instead of stairs.
Quaint kitchenette lunch place inside the Brookgreen Gardens complex. they only have one or two choices each day, and you may have to look for someone to serve you, but the prices are reasonable. Seasonal decorations add to the comfortable feel.
This little treasure is hidden inside the most lovely outdoor sculpture gardens on earth. Light fair, Local charleston tea brewed daily. Outdoor tables and rocking chairs with a tranquil garden view everywhere you look. What's not to love. As an added bonus, you get to take a little hike through the gardens to find it. Kinda like a scavenger hunt with a treasure at the end!
Loved it
Okay for snacks
Soup was tasty but the prices are to expensive :(

Food was quite good.
Situated under huge old Live Oaks. This is the original kitchen that was separated from the house which burned down. Not a huge menu but the food is great and the views lovely!
What a delight. Quiche was very good. Service was nice as well.
Great turkey wrap sandwich and you can't beat the setting within the gardens.
Gorgeous place and some nice snack too
