Sone Hibachi is fresh & fabulous! We have newly discovered this hidden gem. Food and service are both excellent, not to mention how super clean the restaurant is. I HIGHLY recommend. (I like my veggies al dente and they are very accomodating).

I have only done takeout here and they do a very good job with that and they do have a few places to eat inside if desired. I only order here if I am really craving hibachi but have little time because it is of mediocre quality.

Closed the kitchen early and refused service. they don’t close at 9:00pm, they close at 8:45. The two young girls at the counter shrugged off the loss of business as not being a big deal. Headed to Tokyo Hibachi in Geargetown.

Food isn't what it used to be, tried it once during new ownership but it is dry, bland, and a lot more expensive. Wouldn't recommend anymore, big chains are cheaper and better at this point.

Great Lunch and Good Price! I ordered and devoured the Filet & Shrimp Hibachi Entree and it was delicious! My steak was cooked a perfect medium, and the shrimp were seared just as like them to be, slightly golden brown. The rice was cooked perfect and the vegetables were cut to a perfect size. The cashier was polite and friendly. I highly recommend Sone Hibachi! If you are looking for a laid-back, casual, local favorite spot to enjoy lunch or dinner then try this place!Parking: The shared plaza parking lot offers the guests of each business plenty of parking spots.

This place changed from a neat little hibachi place to somewhere that serves overcooked beef and chicken from a bath instead of cooking up each serving as it is ordered like the place at this location used to do.In all I'm pretty disappointed by how much a reliable local place has fallen in quality with the new cooks.

Unfortunately, the hibachi filet and shrimp dinner was sub-par at best. I ordered the filet rare & it was beyond well done. The shrimp were so overcooked that they were extremely chewy. The rice & veggies were good, but too much rice & not enough protein or veggies for the $6 price increase. I'm hoping that with a little more time open with new owners & chefs, they will get the hang of hibachi food & Sone will once again be a Pawleys Island go-to. The staff is fantastic & the interior upgrades were much needed & look lovely. Overall, not a horrible experience & one that is easily corrected.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible to those who are limited to a walker or wherlchair.
Just preferred two chicken bowls. The price before new management would be $14 now it’s $20. THIS PLACE IS NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE!! Very bland food. If you like undercooked rice, this is the place for you. Unless the old owners come back, I will not be

Update: edited the review to a 1/5. I ordered pickup and gave them another shot. They said 10-15 min. I arrive and it wasn't even started on 35 min later. No problem, I can wait a bit. I go to pay since I'm already there. Young girl with an attitude then gives me a dirty look, flips her screen after I paid and said "no tip??" I said are you serious? I clicked the 15% tip out of awkwardness. And she proceeded to not even thank me and go back onto her phone. I after sitting on it, I get more and more pissed. I will be back to give her a piece of my mind.Highly doubt the filet is actually filet... toughest filet I've ever had. Couldn't chew it... the chicken was softer and more tender than the softest cut steak ever lol. The ginger sauce they give you has amazing flavor which makes up for the bland meat though.

We were so excited to come back since they’ve reopened but since it’s been under new management, ITS NOT THE SAME.Our rice was undercooked, the yum yum sauce tasted watered down ?. We sat and watched the man COUNT the pieces of meat going on to the plates. It does not taste the same and not for the price we paid!! This place is so sad now!!! We miss the previous owners ☹️
