Greeted with a bad attitude right away, asked to sit outside and told we couldn’t be served outside on a nice day that it would have to be take out. Okay? Why have 6 patio tables that can’t be served on a slow Monday lunch at that. Server had no personality just here’s your food bye. Nigiri was small and rubbery not worth 15$ for 5 pieces. Martini was okay but no taste of the plum sake just straight pineapple juice. Something changed within the last 2 years not the level it was before.

We, as a family have been supporting this business since they opened. We’ve recommended the restaurant to several out of town guest and frequent the establishment when in town. We’ve not always had the best experience…for example, the air conditioning was out in the middle of summer, had questionable service at times, but overall the food had been great and the management has been good so we’ve continued to support the local restaurant. However, tonight was a different experience. We called to place a to-go order (which is rare, as we normally eat in the restaurant), but was told they couldn’t accept to-go orders due to being out of bags (not boxes). However, we were welcome to come inside and eat and take leftovers with us. My daughter really wanted hibachi but it was getting late so I decided to go inside to order and could take the leftovers with me if they made me order it for “inside”. However, I was surprised and greeted with…is this to- go or for here? As I was attempting to give my order, this extremely rude girl approaches me and says I can’t place an order due to no plastic bags. I could possibly place in 30 minutes depending if bags arrived. She was disrespectful and rude in her attitude, boarder-line yelling at me and even tho I was willing to order the food to eat inside, was told I’d have to come back to order in 30 plus minutes possibly. She told me to basically leave. By the way, they had one table of patrons in the restaurant. Honestly, it was the rudest I’ve been treated in a restaurant that I pay hundreds of dollars too frequently. The management needs to know this was uncalled for, we won’t be returning, and I will be telling everyone I know not to return this summer. So disappointing…

Very delicious poke bowl and the chef prepared tofu nigiri which was so tasteful. I go to PI often and this is my top place.

I wish I could do lower than a one star. I ordered take out the same thing I alway order. Got home & part of the order was wrong. Called to get it corrected but apparently the young girl that answered informed me that they don't make mistakes & it must have been my fault they made the wrong thing. Wow must be nice to be able to have a job you can be so RUDE to your customers to.

My rating is solely based on the level of service I was provided. The bartender/manager was extremely rude and unprofessional.

A small (and easy to make) mistake occurred where we received the wrong takeout order. Completely understandable when the restaurant is busy and the team is juggling multiple things at once. We called back to notify the restaurant and ask what they would like for us to do.

The bartender who had originally served us, was very rude. She assigned blame to me, and made it a very unenjoyable experience.

When we returned the food, as instructed, I expressed my concerns with how she had acted. All I was met with was excuse after excuse and how she had done nothing wrong.

I understand the difficulties in customer service. At no point should an employee of a restaurant act in the manner she did. I will not return, and I plan on sharing my experience with everyone here in Pawleys.
