Vaqueros Mexican Restaurant

Upon entering this empty restaurant (about 1:15 pm on a weekday) we waited about 2-3 minutes for hostess/waitress to get up out of the back table booth where she was on her phone to seat us. We were within her line of site when we entered the door. But it took her that long to finish up on her phone and seat us.

She also took quite a while to come take our order.

When she brought my #9 lunch, I saw a dark course hair on the cheese covering the burrito. Upon pointing this hair out to the waitress, she remarked that it was "just one hair".

At that point we got up and left.
Glad I saw that hair before we took our first bite.

Never again.

Are they there to serve clients or to use their cell phone? The young man who brought us the tortillas listening to videos. The rocking chair talking loudly to someone on her cell phone. And he didn't treat us well. She was very busy with her conversation.
If she has a problem, maybe we should find someone who can treat those who come to eat well. Food and drinks - delicious.

Our go-to regular spot. We love Maribel ❤️ She kindly speaks Spanish slow enough for me to understand, and even has taught my husband a few words!

We have eaten there numerous times, as a couple, and as a family, but no more. I've tried so many different dishes, and truthfully, they all taste the same and not good at that.

Great food!! Get there early if you go on a Sunday, it gets packed! The pineapple salsa is DEVINE!! ? I really enjoyed all of the different salsas and bean dip! The queso has a good flavor as well, and I love the thin tortilla chips! I enjoyed my Texas Fajitas! Steak chicken and shrimp! ??? Do yourself a favor and stop by for lunch or dinner. You won't regret it!! ✌️?
