Wake N Bake is my new favorite breakfast spot! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this was a place that cared about good food and good people. The owner, Brandy, was so kind and even let me try a waffle — and wow, it was amazing!

The French toast is exactly what I’ve been searching for. The bacon? Move over, Waffle House — they’ve got nothing on this place. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and unforgettable. The hash browns were seasoned just right, and even the grits looked good (and I don’t even eat grits!).

The portions are huge, the fresh fruit on the plate was a nice touch, and everything came out hot and fresh. You can feel the family-owned warmth here — it’s cozy, busy, and full of good energy. Oh, and the donuts… massive, fresh, and delicious. You’d probably need three Krispy Kreme donuts to equal one of theirs!

This was my first time here, but definitely not my last. Wake N Bake is that kind of place you instantly fall in love with.

Visited their booth at the Pendleton fall festival. I don’t like donuts. However, these donuts? Consider me forever changed. The owner was so kind and helpful! We got two mugs, also. Cannot wait to try their restaurant.

We didn't actually eat here. We tried, but they were clearly overwhelmed with the crowd amd didn't know how to handle it.

On the positive, all the people there were doing their best to manage. They always stayed polite and realized they were struggling.

The downside. When we got in, we gave our name and phone number and were told the wait would be about 30-45. After 45 minutes, it was clear that it would likely still be another half hour. As it was packed, we went to wait outside. However, they never called or texted the number we gave. So, we decided to go elsewhere. Poorly estimating the wait time would have resulted in no review at all by me. Not even trying to text or call after that when the table was ready is why I'm leaving the review.

The food was great. They were pretty busy so we sat at the bar and it took 1 and 1/2 hrs to get our food. It was extreme but I hear that’s unusual so I’ll try it again. The one cook kept wiping her hands on her clothes and then plating waffles, chicken strips, making plates etc barehanded which was disturbing. The other two cooks had gloves on.

Gosh, how does it get better than a hand battered chicken filet in a cat head biscuit with Cajun seasoned steak fries.

Wake and Bake is a small spot with big flavor! The food and donuts were excellent, and the staff was super friendly. We sat at the counter, which made the experience even better — it was like dinner and a show watching the three cooks in action. They moved so fast and smoothly, it felt like a performance, and it was fun seeing all the different dishes being prepared and heading out. Definitely a place I’d return to if I’m back in the area!

My fiancé and I joined my family for breakfast late, which automatically seemed to irritate the waitress. There was a SIMPLE misunderstanding with my order, I wanted a breakfast sandwich on toast, and it arrived on a biscuit. 10 minutes after I got my food, I finally stopped the waitress and kindly stated that I just needed two pieces of toast instead of the biscuit, and I would swap and build the sandwich myself. The waitress immediately rolled her eyes as she turned around and shook her head as she was walking away. When she dropped my toast off she looked pissed for literally nooooo reason, and she never once asked if we were okay or if we needed anything. Definitely an unpleasant experience.
