Awesome DJ Trivia night. The food was very good but it took an uncharacteristically long time. I would highly recommend the fish, shrimp and hush puppy dinner.

Worst service ever from the bar staff, running around acting busy, working right past paying customers. Won’t be back here and tip will reflect service.

I just moved to Pickens, SC. I tried this place twice and I was disappointed both times. I ordered their six piece chicken wing special the first time and the wings were swimming in their sauce, literally drowning in the sauce. Went back today, and ordered a Cajun Cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese medium and the burger came out raw. I wish I can give a positive feedback since I am a local but this place is terrible. The one and only waitress/bartender was by herself and I hope the Burning Brick is paying her well, but you had two chances to make it right and unfortunately we are still wondering where we should go to get a decent meal here in Pickens, SC that we decided to live!

Waited so long for our food, like almost an hour, so long my son fell asleep. I waited ten minutes for my drink to be made. Ordered Burger medium and it was well done. Wings tasted like they were cooked yesterday and redropped in fryer. The waitress was the only good thing about this meal, oh and the sweet tea was pretty good to.

Stopped by here after traveling roughly +3hr to visit Lake Jocassee with my friend. We got there at about 4PM-5PM.

Food: The food was actually really good. The pricing was awesome in comparison to other places, with the wings being a good size and the other portions satisfying. We ordered the fried mac-n-cheese bites, chicken filly with fries, and their "hot" flavored wings. The beer was also really well priced, with a bottle of Angry Orchard being <$4. The "hot" flavored wings were certainly not hot by any means, but still flavorful.

Service: the waitress was nice and it appeared like she was working alone, so I commend her quickness despite this. We did have to wait a bit for food, but once we indicated needing to leave quickly due to a long drive, she was more than accommodating.

Atmosphere: This is our opinion, and may not be the opinion of those who are local to this location. Unfortunately, we found ourselves at the mercy of a screaming child who would not stay in their seat and proceeded to wander the restaurant, yelling and screaming. I was shocked to find that children that young were welcomed into what I perceived to be a bar atmosphere, with multiple pool tables and dimmed lighting. It was disruptive and damaged our enjoyment of the time we spent there. I'd go here again, but only because the food was really good, so I'd probably do take out. The decorations were also strange and gave the impression that the location was old and welcoming to the locals more than travelers/tourists.

Parking: There is not very much parking, perhaps 8-12 spots on the road and some on the other side if you don't mind using a cross walk. This is for all the businesses

Kid-friendliness: Unfortunately, it is kid friendly in a sense that children are allowed but the atmosphere is more of a bar with pool tables and dim lights.

I've always come here once a week and I'm never disappointed. They serve the best Mushroom Swiss burger with Bacon. I always get the potato wedges and they are always cooked to perfection.

Service, my grandparents has always gone here, they are a regular, and love coming! They always get the mozzarella cheese (cheese bites(?)) and garlic parmesan chicken wings,

The sweet tea has a decent amount of sweetness. Not too little, not too much. You can taste the sweet and it not being overpowered.
When I got my dr. Pepper though It was a little water down.

they’re mozzarella cheese bites are fabulous! They have a big string pull and came out very fresh. They have lots of cheese in the insides and is nice and gooey. Not very crunchy, but you still get some crunches there and then.

They’re garlic chicken wings isnt over powered with flavor and a little crunchy and crusty soft at the same time. “They’re just good, I really like them.” -Grandpa “If there’s any leftovers he takes home and eats it at night” -Grandma

I got the chicken tenders and fries. The chicken tenders tasted pretty good, the flavor was good, but there was some parts where there was more flavor than the other, and it isn’t that crispy. Still good flavor.

Now the fries, they are the average straight skinny fries. Kind like the ones from McDonald’s, but it isn’t soggy and droopy. The outside is firm and hard, but the inside is soft and chewy.

Now I’m not one to judge for the fried shrimp bites since I don’t like shrimp, but I’ll give you my honest opinions without saying “ew this is nasty”, ect. I tried a bite of it from my cousins plate, it was pretty small, not sure if it’s supposed to be like that since I don’t eat shrimp… it was VERY crispy, you could taste more of the crispy part than the shrimp. I barley got the shrimp flavor in there, (not sure if that’s good or bad)

Chicken bacon and ranch Quesadillas: the tortilla had a perfect crunch and, the chicken tasted like regular chicken from restaurants, and it mixed well with the tortilla and cheese. The ranch made it taste better. I. “Would you order it again?” I asked my grandma “Oh I get it all the time!” My grandma answered immediately.

The server was not much help for choosing flight options. We were not given pencils to mark our preferences. We weren't given a full menu to see wine descriptions until after we were asked to choose. I got the dry flight and Cabernet was not one of them. The merlot was the only wine I enjoyed in the flight. I will have to be more careful to demand a better description.
