You might be thinking... Why, I have been going to (one of the 2 established Mexican restaurants in Pickens) for years? Sante Fe is not just another one of those. The food there seems fresher, has more flavor. It is well worth a change!

We were the only table in the restaurant. The server had to be coached on drink refills, chip refills. The food took a long time for the only table in the place. The fajitas for 2 (steak) were not pan seared and if I had said no pepper and onions the meant would have e been less than 1/4cup. All the meals we got were bland. Rice was bland and basic. Chicken was so flattened it was hardly edible. The guacamole for my fajitas equaled about one tablespoon so did the diced tomatoes. Beans tasted or if a can. There is another mexican restaurant nearby i tried a month ago. It was packed and delicious. Go there. We went at around 1pm to to eat at santa fe.Won't be back.

I got the ribeye with mashed potato’s and Spanish rice,and my wife got the Santa Fe special with mashed potato’s and broccoli,the fried shrimp was amazing and everything was cooked to perfection and had tons of flavor, the service was awesome as well, probably the best steak we have had in a long time, we will definitely be back!

Went to dinner there one Friday evening during the Pickens car show. They sat us, no menu's given. We waited about 10 to 12 mins for them just to get us one, then another 10 mins to come take our orders. Each time the girl acted as though she did not know what she was doing. She kept forgetting things we would ask her for and would walk off again and again to get it. We only ordered 16 wings because they were on special that day. They then came back about another 15 mins to tell us they could not give us the 16 PC but they could do two 8pc and give us the special price. We did that. It took them about another 30 mins to bring them to us. They finally did as we were getting ready to leave the restuarant. There were maybe 6 or 7 tables with other folks when we came in. At the time this went down, they only had maybe one other table? Almost all of the tables continued to have dirty dishes and trash on them. At the time we came in, there were about 6 or 7 tables that had not been cleared. Mind you, there were at least 4 or more girls working. Not a very busy evening but these girls acted as though they had nothing better to do except one of them. She seem to keep herself busy. I got the feeling that the other girls just did not feel like bussing tables that night. I have only been to visit this restuarant once before shortly after they opened and it was fine, but this time? No...........I won't waste my time again.🤨

Quesadilla was soggy. Could not even pick it up to eat it. No napkins provided. Asked for sweet tea and received unsweetened. Kept bringing unsweetened so I just went without a drink.

First time visiting, the food was great and the prices were decent. Our server was new, Brooke, but she did a great job and was very friendly and positive. Will definitely eat here again.

The family went here the other night and got dinner. No wait, was immediately seated, she even cleaned the table directly before we sat. The wife got a burrito, she said it filled with meat and was delicious. I got the queso birra, and it was probably one of the better birria quesadilla I have eaten. The meat was delicious and tender, cheese was gooey, and the tortilla was crispy on the outside. Will absolutely be back again.
