So disappointed! Couldn't wait to try this restaurant but so sorry we did. ? $30 for nearly inedible fish/shrimp and some tacos. The shrimp had not had their skins removed prior to cooking. Serving in an oil "bath" made it a terrible mess trying to eat. The fish was, at most, a 3 ounce flatter than a pancake portion. Fried hard. So hard it was difficult to cut even with a knife. The 2" sliver of corn on the cob was shriveled and dried out despite floating in the oil bath. The tacos were missing the avocado and the crema was inedible. To top it off the child who waited (brought our drinks and rang us up) on us was rude - primarily because she was a child and didn't know how to handle the first child who took our drink orders incorrectly. Both children were the only "staff" in the front of the restaurant and it was very apparent in their demeanor and in their lack luster interactions with customers that they did not want to be there. I thought NC had child labor laws??Will not be back.

Really cute little place to stop for food on the way to Table Rock. That might have been the best torta I've ever had. Very tasty.

Pretty solid Mexican restaurant.Street tacos are, of course, on the menu as well as regular staples you'll find anywhere else.Like the Carnitas I had. It was very good and tender. There is a decent seafood menu here, too.We didn't try anything from that menu though.

No Hispanic restaurant in the area. They are doing fairly well they could do better, but the food is not bad.
If you have never tried a Mexican sandwich Try the Torta de Milaneza we tried it and it was a delicious huge fried chicken sandwich!! And the California burrito did not disappoint!! Wonderful family owned business in Pickens, South Carolina

Pickens has an outsized number of Mexican restaurants, but Street Tacos is my first choice. The original menu with street-style tacos has a lot of flavorful options at very good prices. The tacos de birria tastes great; it's perfect for cold fall/winter days; and at 3 for $10.75 it is filling at an incredible value. This is a truly family-owned restaurant, and they are so friendly. The chile poblano is also a good choice. The newer menu items (from after the ownership change) are basically the same as the other places in town.

Got there around 5:30pm Saturday evening. One server- no other patrons. Dirty plates had not been bussed- tables had food drips on several of them. We got up and left. This was on Nevember 18, 2023.
food and prices are great, the staff is greater.
