It was our first time going in. It wasn’t crowded. It was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great!! We didn’t wait a long time on it and it was fresh and delicious. Will definitely go again. We were there at 4:45 on Friday , September 13th.
I'm not a waffle house eater. But there isn't much in Pickens. There is even less on a Sunday. My wife and I said, "Why not? It's brand new." We've been back about 3-4 times. It's actually pretty good. In truth, will I visit some old off the highway waffle house? No. But I'll go back to the Pickens one.
The staff is still under trained in taking your order and getting it right....the air conditioning is so cold,it cools your food off way too quick ,so it's cold before you get a quarter of the way through it...(I understand it's a market strategy to get people in and out,but its way too cold) the waitress's would rather talk with each other, than make sure their customers don't need anything like tea or coke...
