I've been here several times for to go orders usually made online. I've only had one problem and it was resolved as soon as I brought it up in person. I have noticed several reviews and pictures which are not of the Powdersville location but of the Greenwood location so don't let some of the reviews deture you from trying this location. I don't eat raw fish so I can't comment on the sushi and whatever else like that however the things I have tried have been satisfactory for me. The lady behind the counter may not be the most talkative person but she's always there so no telling how many hours she puts in there in a week. So to sum it up don't rely on all the reviews, just give it a least one try and make your own opinion.“

“We had reservations made but either us or the restaurant made the mistake of the wrong time and they ended up giving our table to someone else. When we arrived they were nice enough to give us another table w no wait. (They only hold a table for 15 mins after reservation time). We sat at a wobbly table so we couldn't put our elbows on it. The sushi rolls was a wide selection and the ones we chose were delicious! Overall a nice experience.“

“I moved into The McClaren apts. (awesome place) about 14 months ago and discovered Otto Izakaya early on. Only 2 blocks away for me. Otto is, and has been, my go to place, especially when friends, family or business friends are visiting. Not a sole I have introduced has ever had anything but praises for the experience. If we are a small group, I always encourage dining at the bar. I have no idea who will read this, but people buy from people; and people they enjoy interacting with. I would be totally remiss if I didn't specifically mention bar manager Matt and his team behind the bar. If Matt has ever met a stranger, I missed it, as he has the personality to balance the engagement with customers, while still providing excellent customer service. Also, everything I've tried off the menu is high-grade and fresh! That's a must for me. I'd be slack if I didn't mention the awesome hard working sushi chefs, who are always open to preparing a creation to suit YOUR palate and preferences. As to other regular customers, and just my observation, but like me, they appear to have found a home away from home; a place to be comfortable, chill and let the time spent make a bad day better. I almost never take the time to give a review and especially a compliment; as I sometimes look for the negatives, as it is always so easy to criticize. So, as a native Greenvillian and business (person); and someone who believes and enjoys a five ***** experience that is reasonably priced, give Otto Izakaya a try. Whether you live in the area, or are simply visiting, when you leave you will already be thinking about when you can do this again! If you enjoy an adult beverage, be sure and stop by the bar and ask for Matt, as this master mixologist will want to know exactly what you're looking for. If you read this review and haven't stopped by, you're in for an experience catered to the way you would most enjoy it. And ladies, as I have a daughter in college, so please know whether by yourself, or in a group, you're in a safe place without being hassled and you don't have to look over shoulder (unless there is a stud sitting behind you), because Matt and the supporting staff will have your back so you can relax and enjoy. If you have a chance to meet the owner, please do, as his passion and dedication for excellence in all aspects of the business is instantly captivating. Sorry for the length of this, I was on a roll! “The BEST sushi restaurant in Greenville. Affordable, tasty and fresh. Seriously so good. You could get 3X the food here for the same cost at O-Ku and it’s way better. I love coming here! And they have the sweetest servers!“

“Eric is super nice!!! I can't remember if he is the owner or the manager or both. It was our first time visiting from out-of-town. Eric was so welcoming he goes out of his way to make sure you are taking care of. Our party of 4 had a great time! Food was delicious!! Lots of great options on the menu.“

“The food was good. Steak was cooked the way we ordered. My kids loved the miso soup and sushi. The chicken was good as well. The only issue I had was that the fried calamari was awful, very overcooked. I tried a piece before I left the parking lot, and it replicated a rubber band when the batter was gone. I took it back, and they refunded the calamari. I really did appreciate that. Overall, it's really good. Just don't order the calamari.“

“Absolutely LOVE Dozo and have since they opened. The sushi is always fresh and we are always treated like family. Yes we miss Mr Mike but the cook at Powdersville is just as good!!! We will continue to support Easley and Powdersville locations for years to come. Do yourself a favor and try the kracken roll. Who knew bacon and sushi went together?!?!?!?“
