One of the best little distilleries that I have been too. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of their products. Well worth the drive.
Cool place. The goods were excellent. I got the tour and I was very pleased. The sampling is the best part. Left with a couple of jars. Totally recommended!
I'm giving the high marks for the experience. I'm not much of a liquor drinker except for the occasional margarita, and you will not find that here. Although there are drink options. We took a mini tour, and I was a little disappointed, but we were well-educated by our bartenders about each option and the history of the place. It's worth going just for that. Be sure to check out the massive white...Victorian/colonial? house adjacent to the distillery. We tried all kinds of moonshine, peach, blueberry pineapple, apple pie 😋... but I think hands down our faves were the creams. I think the orange (Creamasicle-like) cream and my husband liked the cookies and cream best.
Small but lots to see. Excellent tasting. Delightful service
Came in this past weekend. I was lucky enough to see their advertisement right off the side of the interstate. So glad that I stopped by because I met the nicest people. She gave us the whole story and history of the general building, the people who founded Sugar Tit, the reason why they chose the name, and all the other special little details that came with their journey. Such a neat little distillery right off the beaten path. Loved how so many people all over the world had come to visit. I enjoyed hearing and talking about the history and the taste of their moonshine. Couldn't leave without purchasing a bottle and a couple of items from them. Will come back in the near future. They definitely have my support.
Stopped in on a whim. We saw the signs and read the reviews. Not a single one of their 5 star reviews are lying. We loved visiting STMD. Such a beautiful piece of history they have there. I unfortunately didn’t catch her name but our tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the entire distillation process. The tasting was excellent, it was incredible how smooth their products are. Don’t let the small sample sizes fool you, their size is about all you need. Would love to come back next time we find ourselves on 85!
Saw the signs in the highway and just decided to drop in. We received an excellent sampling of the various spirits. I will have to come back for a full tour. They have unique moonshine flavors and some brown as well.
The Best Moonshine that you can get!!!
Great historical stories and tasty moonshine!
It's a super cute place to stop! We got a few souvenirs, and a few bottles to try when we get home.

Love the orange cream! Such a fun tour! It was great to meet you all!
Great little distillery. All the clears are super smooth even the 120, flavors are all excellent including orange cream.
Me and my friend stopped in on our way from Atlanta to Charlotte after seeing the billboard on the highway. We are so glad did. We had such a good time on the mini tour with Mary. She was so knowledgeable and helpful. The moonshine actually tastes good and goes down real smooth compared to some other brands of moonshine that taste like rubbing alcohol. Took home quite a few products/merch. I plan on making this a permanent stop on my highway 85 trips.
Great products! Friendly staff!
EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE at STMD. We stopped for a tasting and tour at the distillery, ate at the Cousins Maine Lobster food truck, and had a FANTASTIC time. The staff at STMD was absolutely amazing. We bought moonshine to enjoy at home, and some merch to happily display. We will be regular patrons, and would recommend to anyone.
