Pistol Jo's Cherry Point BBQ

Went for first time, takeout. Ordered pulled brisket plate. The meat was so dry and tough. Probably one of the worst BBQ, that I've had since livingi in the area. Will not go back again, and I wouldn't recommend you go either.

We’ve been wanting to stop in this place for so long. Anything in an old Huddle House is always good, right?! 😂 From the start, everyone was so nice. They were so warm and friendly and HELPFUL! The food came out hot and fresh. I had the peppered turkey sandwich and my husband had ribs, and both were phenomenal. The turkey was so moist and the ribs were literally falling off the bone. I don’t even like ribs and my husband begged me to try them and I could have devoured his whole plate. The owner came up and talked to us and was so enjoyable to talk to. He made us feel like family and welcomed. We got 2 pieces of blueberry crumble cake to bring home and I just heated it up for a few seconds and ate it for breakfast and IT.WAS.AMAZING. I was afraid it would be dry, but it was not at all. My husbands piece is still waiting for him. It will be a struggle to not eat it before he gets home 😂 We will definitely be back!

Stopped for lunch. We ordered the pulled pork platter with side of onion rings and Mac n cheese. Portion size was enough for two of us to share but everything was lukewarm. Definitely would have scored higher if it had been hot.

Brisket is pulled, not sliced, and dry. Would not order again. Smoked wings were dry but had good flavor. Fried chicken sandwich was overcooked. Baked potato salad will be better cold. Baked beans were good just not good enough to write home about.

We had the chicken nachos, jalapeno sausage, drums, and chicken strips. All were amazing!!! Seriously. The fried okra and fries were also top notch. We are counting this as one of our regular spots for the future because the food was on point and the prices were, too. We can't wait to be regulars here!

Wish I had taken pictures. Tenders were juicy and breaded/cooked well. Lots of flavor.

Chicken nachos my boys shared and didn't finish because it was a big serving. They loved it as well.

The smoked drums were cooked perfectly imo(moist and smoky) Fried okra was in point and we'll seasoned. Jalapeno link was full of smoke and jalapeno flavor.

We'll be back for another tasty meal!

Some of the best BBQ I've had.

I pass by this place every day on my way to work and my job hosted an event today and catered food from here. To say that it is sinful how good this food is, is an understatement. I cannot pick my favorite out of the cornbread, the pulled pork or the banana pudding, but I will definitely be coming to eat here! IF your looking for great tasting southern BBQ this is the place for you .

If you want microwaved brisket, sure stop in. It used to be a great bbq place when Zach owned it. Now its just some rich fluffs from up north that think they know what Southern bbq is about. It's gross. It's not fresh. And def don't get any of the bc seafood.

One of the best places in Bluffton for authentic BBQ that isn’t a chain restaurant—locally owned and operated with that local family feel. Great people, great staff and great food!

We stopped on our way back to Waverly, GA. It was lunch time and the place was just about full. The selection of bbq sauces was excellent; I had two favorites so I mixed them together. The food was hot a tasty!
