Yesterday was my first time at Charonda's.
My cousin wanted to go here for his birthday. Upon arrival we were immediately seated and greeted. I won't take you through the entire experience step by step instead I want to say this place has

Bountiful portions.

Jesus, our waiter was fantastic and very friendly.

Had a lunch Chimichanga. It was about 4 inches long, and quarter size around. Covered in sauce. Not even close to any Chimichanga I've had before. Ran about $16 with a ice tea.

First time here, I had such a wonderful experience at this Mexican restaurant! I ordered the Baja fish tacos and they were absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and so fresh that I can’t wait to come back for more. The atmosphere felt welcoming, and what really made the visit special was the service. Our server, Alex, was incredibly kind and attentive throughout the meal. After leaving, I realized I had accidentally left my card behind, but when I called, Alex answered right away and reassured me that he had kept it safe until I could return to pick it up. That level of care really stood out and made me feel valued as a guest. Overall, the food, service, and hospitality were all outstanding. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Thanks again Alex!

We were stating at a nearby hotel. The desk person recommended Charanda. Oh my!! Best Mexican food I have ever had. I had Fajita Casadilla. Nicely done. Good portion size. Server was friendly. We will return if we are in the area again.

I love the food here so much. This place is pretty much a staple in our house.

Edit: I am editing this now to address an issue we have had multiple times over the last year. Several times we found vegetable stickers on our cooked food. Another time we found a piece of butter wrapper. We just discarded these and didn't say anything thinking maybe they hired a new kitchen member. We have it a few months and then returned, only to have it happen again. We found a melted piece of plastic in our food. When we called to inform them, we were very rudely received. Mind you, we weren't even complaining- just communicating what we found. They initially denied that this could happen, and that we could not be refunded. They then *demanded* (not asked) that we bring back the food and the plastic. This order was taken out and we do not love nearby. After we agreed, then they backpeddled and demanded we text them images. They agreed to a partial refund and told us it was an onion, not plastic. It doesn't take a genius to tell the difference between an onion and plastic. We haven't been back since.
