Food tasted like it was made yesterday and recooked today. The general tso chicken was so chewy and stringy I had to keep spitting it out. The egg roll has nutmeg in it. I have no clue why but it does. The wonton was almost not edible. Not sure what’s in them but never again. Customer service was good though. But I won’t spend $30 anymore here.

A little pricey for anything after lunch hours but overall, good food. They give you a lot of food. I don’t usually trust many Chinese food restaurants, but this one is worth it.

I dined at Delicacy Chinese in Rock Hill, where the experience exceeded my expectations. The restaurant serves American-Cantonese style cuisine, and parking was a breeze—free and ample, a great start to what would be a satisfying meal.

Our server, Ian, was attentive from the moment we sat down. He made sure our water glasses were always full and checked in regularly, enhancing the overall dining experience with his friendly demeanor and prompt service.

We started our meal with a mix of fried and steamed pork dumplings—six of each. Unfortunately, I couldn’t snap a photo of the full serving because we couldn’t resist diving in right away. The dumplings were clearly handmade, with delicate, thin wrappers and a perfect balance of flavors. None of that thick, gummy texture you sometimes get with frozen options. They came with a dumpling dipping sauce that complemented them perfectly.

One of the highlights at Delicacy Chinese is their lunch combo, which is available even on weekends. I ordered my go-to dish for any Chinese restaurant, the General Tso’s Chicken combo. The combo comes with your choice of fried or white rice and a side of either a Rangoon, vegetable spring roll, or—for an extra $0.50—an egg roll. I opted to upgrade to the egg roll, and it was well worth it. This egg roll was packed with meat and infused with flavors of Chinese five-spice and curry. It wasn’t the usual cabbage-heavy roll; instead, it was flavorful and satisfying, leaving me wishing I had another.

As for the General Tso’s Chicken, it was phenomenal. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in a sauce that had just the right balance of sweetness and heat. It’s definitely the best I’ve had in the surrounding Charlotte area, and while I don’t have a go-to spot in the city itself, Delicacy Chinese now tops my list of favorites.

One of my dining partners ordered the Mongolian beef combo and was equally impressed. The beef was tender, and the sauce was well-balanced—not too sweet and not overloaded with onions, which can sometimes be a problem at other Chinese restaurants.

One small note: if you choose fried rice as a side, it’s just wok-fried with soy sauce—no veggies or egg. It’s simple but works well with the bold flavors of the main dishes.

Overall, Delicacy Chinese is my new top choice for Chinese food, and I’m more than willing to make the trip to Rock Hill whenever I have a craving. A word of advice, though: dine in rather than order takeout. The food is best enjoyed fresh from the kitchen, where it’s piping hot and full of flavor.

This is my go-to place. It is always good. Homemade wontons; best soup ever! Good selection noodles, curries, tradional dishes and more. Restaurant is clean and everyone is friendly and helpful. It's a great option for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian family members.

Vegetarian options: Vegetables and tofu are available as a main option in a large list of dishes. The curries are amazing.

Warning this place is sooooooo good. I went 3 times in 1 week. This is hands down the best Chinese food around. I have tried the chicken with garlic sauce, Mongolian chicken, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken and crispy scallion chicken. They are ALL so delicious but the best one that makes your mouth water for it!!, is the crispy scallion chicken! NOW let's talk about the eggrolls OMG homemade and they ferment their cabbage with the pork and hand roll them, I have to always get extras they are that good! Make sure to ask for some homemade ducksauce!!! LOVE this place ❤️ ? This is not your average Chinese restaurant and has tables to dime in although I would not recommend kids as it's a very quiet, dark soothing setting, and they play classical music. Perfect for lunch or dinner! Portions are very good for lunch and dinner.
