El Molcajete Restaurante

Second time around, the experience was nowhere near as good as the first time. The third time, it was better than the second, but still left something to be desired.

This place is a-hole-in-the-wall, but it is good. I am sure I have not tried all Mexican Restaurants in Rock Hill, but of those I have visited, this one is, by far, the best in terms of the quality of its food preparation. And, unlike most others outlets around here, this one rings authentic.

Definitely a gem! Walked in and was immediately seated by the sweetest lady with a fantastic smile. She brought out my drink and a basket of chips with salsa. For those who may be very sensitive to spice there is a little kick to it but it is delicious.

I ordered the lunch steak quesadilla and two campechanos tacos. I like how they have the old school window area where you can see the person cooking your food. The sound of the grill sizzling was making me even more hungry.

Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. I was very impressed of their pricing give me today's landscape for local restaurants and the amount of food they gave for the price.

This is a place I will be visiting more regularly while I'm in the area. Plenty of other items on this menu that I want to try! And with the level of service I may just come back every day ☺️

To die for mole sauce. The food was excellent. If you want authentic Mexican food do t hesitate to go here. I definitely will be returning.

They have asda tacos that are phenomenal and great guacamole! The seasoning on the tacos is literally the best I've had ever.

the chicken in the quesadilla is ordered was good however my problem is with the amount of refried beans in the dish. my entire dish was so soggy from the amount of refried beans. and while the beans were good, was it necessary to lay the quesadilla on top of it?

Authentic. Close to my Abuelita's kitchen...service was great, good music, flavors were authentic and salsa was spicy...the way it should be. Unlike other Hispanic restaurants that just put tomato sauce in a cup. This is the spot if you want FLAVOR AND SPICE. Can't wait to go back!
