We love Mexican food and we like trying new places in and around Rock Hill. This is a small unimpressive little hole in the wall..BUT...probably the most authentic Mexican food we've tried locally! The service was very good and fast! There are some very unique items on the menu that are worth making a return visit for another try! I am a huge fan of the Chiles Poblanos and they offered several different ways...stuffed with beef, chicken, or just cheeses....they were delicious! Great homemade guacamole and salsa .... with a reasonably priced menu with lots of selections. If you love authentic Mexican you need to try El Molacajete today!

Great local restaurant with phenomenal food and great prices! Fajita night is our favorite! And they have the best chicken tacos I have ever had! The chicken is so juicy. They don't serve margaritas like what you usually see at Mexican restaurants, but the food is some of the best you'll get!

Came here after finding out the owners are the same as Tequila Family Mexican Restaurant. The food was delicious. I just didn't like the cilantro in the salsa It tasted like soap. But that's just my taste buds. Dear owners, please let us know what's going on with Tequila. I need to see Mrs. Elizabeth and Gabriel.

The food was OK, but our server couldn't communicate well at all. Our shrimp tacos were over half chicken ... but we paid for shrimp!When our food was brought out, one of the plates was so hot it literally put blisters on 3 of my fingers. No warning it was a hot plate, especially that it was several hundred degrees hot! No apology or compensation for the injury ... no manager cared enough to discuss it with me.Would never go back, simply because I now know how much they care about their customers.

When I want Mexican food this is my go-to. While it's a small restaurant at the end of a strip mall located in the middle of a neighborhood, it is HUGE on great food and flavor. I'm so glad I don't live close by, it could threaten my entire wardrobe. I am wise to not overeat (although tempting); I just take the rest home to enjoy later. If you appreciate authentic mexican food - from the chips & salsa to any of the dinners - I highly recommend El Molcajete.
