Love this place! Love the people! The food and drinks are great! I do prefer ordering fresh food because the small baked pastries seem a bit too pricey for my personal budget. If I pay $5-6 for a pasty, I'd like to know that it was baked in the past several hours or is made by an authentic chef who specializes in pastries. So, for my pocket it's a bit much to order pastries there on a regular basis.I kept one star because me and my friends are there for 2-3 hours and the bathroom door lock is broken so it's really difficult to wait 3 hrs to go to the bathroom and bother other people to make sure they watch the door from the counter. I feel very uncomfortable asking for help and it's super stressful to use the restroom, knowing it's the only one available for one person alone.Please fix the door knob/lock so I can change my rating back to 5 stars!Thank you! Super grateful for everything you do for this community!

Was in town for a colorguard competition for our daughter. I love trying local places for coffee and it did not disappoint at all. The gal who took my order was so nice and it was really a nice atmosphere. Would definitely go back if I’m in the area.

Greatest little find in Charlotte! Went here on a whim with a friend and found ourselves having the most fun impromptu afternoon. The store is a dream - coffee bar section, wine/bar section, upstairs event area, local artisan crafts and items you can peruse and shop. You have a make your own soups area where you can build out recipes of dried ingredients to purchase and bring home (just add water), build your own jewelry, etc. Came for a drink and left with several new friends. We chatted with Mike, one of the owners, for hours, and chatted up several parties of folks who were there to make their own fun afternoons. The drinks were fabulous. My friend had the mimosa flight which she raved about, and I had a few glasses of a delicious red Mike had recommended (which I also bought a bottle of for home). It was just the afternoon we needed and cannot wait to come back again!

This is probably the best coffee in Rock Hill. Every time I go, I get the Crazy () Neighbor without hazelnut and every time it slaps.It’s a little tight in the cafe part but I just end up browsing around in the Mercantile while waiting and have bought multiple things. Good business model.Can’t speak for the food myself but my wife loves it.

It is so nice that the Merc has a fantastic cafe attached to it! The food and drinks are top notch (not to mention, you can also get a glass of wine or cider if you so choose). The sandwiches are super tasty and the staff is some of the best around! You absolutely cannot go wrong with any of the items you get here. Great prices as well. It is one of my go to spots and you feel like you are welcomed and at home here :)
