Sakura Japanese Steakhouse + Sushi

I went to Sakura on 11/6 to celebrate my friend’s birthday and the service was absolutely horrible. She had a fairly large party which caused her to have 2 separate areas for seating. The second table arrived about 30 mins after the group that arrived with the birthday girl and their orders were taken, food was cooked, and they paid and left all before the section of the birthday girls table’s order had been even taken.

Once the sever got to the table and took the orders she still took the orders of the other section of the birthday girl’s table. That half of the tables food was cooked and served, they paid and left before any of our meat was cooked. They never song happy birthday to her and our cook which was told to us was the owner was mean, rude and just flat out horrible. When we brought everything to his attention he did not apologize he said we’ll make sure you have better service next time….. Ahhhh Sir there won’t be a next time.

The bathroom area was pissy and the floors were really slippery throughout the restaurant. It was dark and just not an inviting or comfortable experience.

The food was good, but I will never go back again because of the service.

Horrible Experience!! We have been many times and tonight 8/29/2024 the restaurant was empty and service was terrible. Ordered a vodka sprite single came out in a tall glass and they refused to remake a single. One person in our party ordered chicken as an entree and got 4 pieces. The checks came and all the orders were messed up. No one got a refill on water. This was our last time visiting this establishment.

I liked this spot the first time I came it was great! I had gotten sushi and calamari the sushi was great! The calamari definitely good! Then the next two times I came back wasn't so great, I got habachi and It wasn't what I expected my steak and shrimp were flavor less and overcooked the calamari was a bit rubbery so I didn't finish it the sushi was still great though and the service was good! It was just the food wasn't worth it the last couple times.

Kid-friendliness: I took my son for his 7th birthday a d he loved it they dang happy birthday! No desert but he enjoyed the show the cool put on

We had scallops and they were spoiled, rotten awful smell. I chewed one and immediately spit it out. Staff was decent but awful experience with food

I used to LOVE coming to this place with my family, however this time around the food made me sick. I had chicken and shrimp hibachi and something gave me terrible food poisoning! Note: My boyfriend ate here as well and had chicken and steak, so we think it must have been the shrimp. Don’t think I’ll be eating here again unfortunately which makes me sad because it used to be one of my favorites in Rock Hill. On a good note , the wait staff and cook were very friendly.

Sat at the bar and had a great glass of wine and sushi roll! Husband had a tito and lemonade. Very clean and the bartender was wonderful

The steak melts in your mouth. You definitely get a good amount of food for your money. . The service was outstanding. Restaurant was clean and well lit.

The food was okay, should be GREAT for the price...I think the air conditioner was broken, it was humid and hot and the chef wasn't cooking....our Chef was really good and funny though

There were roaches everywhere. We left immediately! We had already had drinks and soup. We saw the first one crawl across the table….then came the next one. Roaches at a restaurant? Absolutely NOT! The waiter Manny was awesome however. Left him a nice tip!
