First time actually giving this place a try, mainly because they were actually open when I swung by!!
Everytime I came in the past 5 years during the hours they had posted the doors were locked and there where no workers to be seen

First visit to try the beef tallow fries but was disappointed. It was very impersonal. Kiosk ordering. Slow food. Soulless atmosphere. The only upside is that it's clean... Because hardly anyone is going here. Will be sticking to Freddy's. Get the memo - Nobody likes Kiosk ordering.

Order placed 2:10, stated ready for pickup at 2:16 on email. Arrived at 2:22 and wasn't even acknowledged indoors until 2:30. The food was surely ready at my arrival based on the temperature of the fries. I know the small tries lose temperature fast, however I know the food was ready well before 2:31 when I got it. The food taste is great, but there has to be a better solution for online orders, even when there are drive through cars and 6 guests at a table inside.

They should put a Steak 'n Shake in down in the Charleston area. Wish they'd re-expand the menu, though. I miss when they had like 20+ different kinds of burgers and sandwiches.

Used to go to Steak & Shake’s very frequently as a child but moved for college and couldn’t find one nearby ;-;
Still delicious food & milkshakes, the fry seasoning is still an amazing addition. They are now fully modern with tablet ordering, picking up at counters & less interaction with servers (no complaints tho).
