Where shall I begin... Well, guess the best place is checkin. After a long day of driving, we arrived to a not so friendly person at the desk who advised I must provide a credit card for $100 per night incidentals and $5 a night parking...mind you our room was paid in full ($600+ for 2 nights) and we paid cash for any and all incidentals through out our stay. Next the sofa bed did not have linens and there were no extra linens in the room. (Or maybe there were, but the closest in the bedroom was locked) I called the front desk...3 times before someone picked up the phone...then hung up. I called back on the main number 2 before someone finally answered. When I asked if extra linens could be brought to the room I was rudely told "that person" had left for the night but I could come get them. When my husband went down get them, the person at the front desk was giving the linens to someone else until that person spoke up and admitted he had not called for them. After going through all of that, the sofa bed mattress was so awful my son just slept on the sofa. Thankfully we had brought blankets, because the one provided was disgusting. Later that same night we realized the remote for the bedroom TV did not work, so my husband once again went down to the front desk to request batteries. Another not so friendly staff member curtly handed him a bag with mismatched batteries and another remote. Even with new batteries neither remote worked. I once again called the front desk...this time someone did answer but when I asked if a working remote could be brought to our room, I was told she would see what she could find and get back to me. She never got back to me and a working remote was not provided. We travel A LOT and I can not recall one hotel "upscale" or not that does not provide complimentary coffee...until we stayed at Cambria Hotel. 2 cups of small to go cups of mediocre coffee cost $6+. There is a restaurant in the lobby. It's loud and BRIGHT...like interrogation room lights BRIGHT. But last night the cash register wasn't working.. which is weird, but we were directed to the Sky Bar to order take out...oh by the way they do not offer room service. We placed our order and had a drink while we waited. We quickly learned they actually do not offer several of the items on the menu in particular the shrimp & grits. 4 drinks later we got our order...and again the service was anything but friendly. We were in town for our son to attend a college soccer ID camp. It was 2 days of intense training and games. Due to weather some of the games were delayed we had a pretty long break before his last game today at 3. Check out is at 11, so we requested late check out. They oh so graciously agreed to let us check out at 12..and only after us calling 2 times and being hung up on. Other irks like not having change when paying cash for snacks and being ignored when I checked out just added to the absolutely horrible experience we had at this hotel. We will NEVER stay at this hotel again or any Cambria Hotel for that matter. The only thing "upscale" about this hotel is the inflated price you must pay to be treated rudely by a very unprofessional staff.

Staying here for a wedding. Imani was the bartender/waitress/hostess/educational savant! One of the best dining/drinking experiences I have had in years. Would absolutely recommend this spot for anyone in the area. Make sure Imani is working and you will not regret it. Hands down, great time!

We were excited about being here for our grandsons graduation and this being a highly recommended hotel. The room is very nice size, quiet. The problem is housekeeping. The second and third night here, we come back to uncleaned rooms, dirty towels on bathroom floor, trash full. The coffee pods old, creamer three months expired. Sugar hard as a rock. Bathtubs slick as ice,so had to purchase a bath mat for our safety, AS THERE ARE NO SAFETY BARS IN THE SHOWER ANYWHERE. This is a blatant safety violation. Requested the evening of second night that these items be addressed again the next day. So, we walk in tonight, the third night here, to stacked up towels and full trash cans. Luckily I had a used towels to wipe down counters and wipe toilet. Had to go down each night to get clean towels. The breaker was tonight they wanted to give us sheets to change our linens. What the heck are we paying for here! If you look nice, but treat your patrons with such disregard, what good are you. We will never stay at one of these chains again. Note: request were made to shift managers and they totally disregarded these issues two nights in a row.

Didn’t even get to eat here. Spent 20 mins parking and walking to the location only to find out it’s the hotel bar, despite what the pictures show. We walked in and asked where The Loom is to be told we were in it. It’s 10 tables in the hotel lobby. No one to seat you or anything. I expected something similar to Old Towne. But it was more like the Holiday Inn bar.

I had dinner in the restaurant with 4 colleagues and when we arrived we parked in the garage as there was no street parking but the first 2 hours are free in the garage so we didn’t mind and it kept us out of the rain. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the food options and drinks. We also ventured up to the roof top sky bar which we will be back to use on a dry day.

My family ate here tonight and had a wonderful experience. My husband, daughter and I are staying in the Cambria Hotel for the weekend and hosted my parents and siblings for a gift exchange in our suite. After swapping presents we went down to the restaurant for dinner. It was pretty packed and we were concerned we wouldn't get a table, but the staff allowed us to move chairs around to make room for the 11 of us. Everything about our experience was great. Toya and Brandon were our servers and both of them are excellent at their jobs. They were friendly, engaging, fast and efficient. Somehow with a packed dining room and only a few servers on the floor they were able to keep us all happy and well served throughout the meal. Toya even went the extra mile and had the kitchen send out my daughter's and young nieces' meals first so they wouldn't have to wait or become impatient. The kitchen worked smoothly with us to provide delicious meals for a few members of our family who have gluten and dairy intolerance. All of the food was well prepared and tasty. My sister tried a margarita and said Toya mixed it to perfection. I also wanted to note how clean the dining room (and all of the hotel) is. This is my second stay at the Cambria and it won't be my last. This kind of overall excellence in service and quality deserves repeat business. My sister lives fairly close to Rock Hill and said she'll be back as well to dine at the restaurant. Thanks again for a wonderful experience at the Cambria Hotel/Loom Restaurant! Can't wait to visit again.

Gill has been very nice and helpful for my daughter, who has to stay here due to issues with her apartment. She’s temporarily unable to walk and he’s been super nice to help move her to a room.

The rooftop bar was the best part. It is GORGEOUS!!! Having a luxury rooftop experience and not having the worry of the transport home ??

The Loom is located just off the lobby of the Cambria Hotel and the photos on the website make it appear to be larger than the 8-10 tables that are part of what is probably where breakfast is served. Our party of six had reservations for 6:30 on a Saturday night and we chose this restaurant as it was new and we wanted to dine locally. BIG mistake! There is no on-street parking so we parked in the garage next to the hotel. When we entered the hotel lobby, we could see the tables that are shown on the website but there was no one there or behind the bar. There were three people at the front desk and when asked where the Loom restaurant was, they did not know! We went to the 6th floor where the 354 Skybar was located and our server said the restaurant was closed. We decided to eat there and the menu had The Loom printed on it. Our server told us the menu was the same for the Loom and for the Skybar. It was very limited, with a section headed "Small portions", supposedly appetizers, and "Large portions", which included a $15 hamburger and chicken salad sandwich. We decided to have drinks first and whomever has written reviews about how good the drinks were, did not have the same bartender we did. My bourbon and water was served in a shot glass with no ice. A vodka martini was a mysterious color and flavor, a Manhatten was basically Marker's Mark on the rocks, and a Long Island ice tea was of an unknown content. I took my small glass to the bar and the bartender was very apologetic and gave me another one in the proper sized glass and used the small end of a jigger to measure out the bourbon. For $9, I would have expected a more liberal pour. A brief descripition of the food: the shrimp and grits was a large bowl of grits with four medium shrimp on top. The flat iron steak was extremely tough and could barely be cut with a knife. The catfish was a small piece of fish on a large portion of grits and was tasty but not hot. The hamburger was a basic patty on a Brioche bun and nothing more than you would get at Hardee's. All the food is prepared downstairs and moved via elevator to the sixth floor and when served, the temperature of the food was sightly warm, at best. Our server had been there only a week and did a great job. The location is great and another quality restaurant would be welcomed in the area. The final straw was leaving the garage and paying $5 for parking. We will not be back unless future reviews indicate that things are much better all the way around.
