Boldens had the best hash that there is. The wait staff was excellent along with the atmosphere in the dining area We will truly miss this fantastic restaurant….

Steak hash sandwich was soggy but delicious. Their chicken stew is the best. Hushpuppies are award winners in my book. Good fries and burger as well. I used Holden 's website to order via phone. Menu needs updated. No debit. Cash or check only.

They had no ice n the food was garbage, got a burger well done n it was basically raw , no hot peppers! Wat food establishment doesn't have HOT PEPPERS ! SMH

We moved from Spartanburg to NC in 1994. When we go back to visit, we stop to pick up some of Holden’s chicken stew. It is the best I have ever eaten!!

The chick stew was to perfection!! The hush puppies, slaw, sweet potato souffle & beans were delicious. All employees were very nice, were busy cleaning or taking orders. The flooring has been professionally cleaned & the ceiling repaired & painted. It's not the Holdens from previous reviews. Holdens got a makeover & your feet will not stick to the floor now, all tables are clean & that's the 1st thing I noticed, how nice the dining area looked. The chick stew was great!!!Just need a larger sign stating you're open.

It was horrible. I'll never go back.The food was terrible, the place was filthy, and the service, well I would have fired every one of them. The cooks were in the back with their feet up and on their phones. The ladies were up front on their phones.
